I beg to differ on this... 2.5 mile track, many high speed corners, YES the additional aero definitely helps. For a street only car, not so much, if at all.Don't worry, if you get caught going fast enough to feel the difference, they'll be impounding your Mach and putting you in the back seat of an Exploder.
One of you is talking track, the other street.I beg to differ on this... 2.5 mile track, many high speed corners, YES the additional aero definitely helps. For a street only car, not so much, if at all.
I ran the first weekend track session without the lower splitter and gurney flap, next weekend with both. What a difference!! The Ford engineers know what they are doing.
So does this mean that it's officially at the dealership? Going to shoot them an email here in a bit, but if it's there, then it looks like I'm headed down to Philly next weekend! I'm beyond excited!
Maybe taking out the gurney flap? I think the spoiler alone should be ok.My understanding is it’s functional aero (but haven’t seen specific details. No front HP splitter with the gurney flap installed may cause weird behavior at higher speeds…for a street car shouldn’t matter, and ford sells it with the non-HP + big spoiler so it’s probably fine.
I couldn’t pull in to my driveway with mine on. I had no choiceopinion time...
kind of thinking of removing the HP aero splitter. it reminds me of a double chin and step ladder, starting to think it looks cleaner and more aggressive actually with just the standard single splitter
yay or nay?

Weird me, but I don't actually like the look with the Gurney flap. It will stay off except for track time.My front splitter and gurney flap stay on 100% of the time. If you can afford a Mach 1, you can afford 1-2 MPG's of highway driving. I average around 15.8 MPG anyway so even with an extra 1-2 MPG, it's not going to make a difference that my wallet is going to see. I have a driveway with a hump and I never hit it with Bridjit's ( Home - BRIDJIT Curb Ramps ) installed at the end of the driveway. I just go in at an angle every time. That's about the worst thing I have to deal with whenever I drive it. It clears all speed bumps fine and I don't intend on lowering the car either.
Same here - please do tell us Kachow when you get time and stop grinningKachow..let us know how the transaction goes w Chapman if you dont mind. I have one in order from there and hoping everything goes smoothly if and when my car arrives.
Thanks, I wasn’t aware of the Bridjit curb system. My front splitter and gurney flap stay on 100% of the time. If you can afford a Mach 1, you can afford 1-2 MPG's of highway driving.
