FULL service on my girl. Fresh Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W20 for the engine, fresh Motul Multi DCTF for the gearbox, and fresh Redline 75W85 (Plus Motorcraft modifier) for the differential. The OEM fluids looked great (not surprising given 17K miles), but I wanted to get rid of any break in stuff and clean the magnets on the diff plugs. They had a bit of metal on them from break in, so good to get rid of that so they can do their job going forward.

Also did a general underside checkup of everything, all looks great. Car drives excellent now, will put some more miles on it and see how it does. No diff chatter with 2 ounces of MC additive, so that's helpful for anyone wanting to attempt this with OE weight fluid like I did. Second picture is the trans oil, looks like my driving style is pretty well matched for low wear.

I also lubed up the coolant reservoir cap o-rings with some silicone grease, since it was getting SUPER difficult to unthread. Now it goes on and off super easily again. Useful trick for anyone with the same issue.

Not much done on the mustang … :frown:

Again … :frown:

But the weekends away from the Mustang were well worth it for the reward that my misses got for that time … :sunglasses:

It seems to be turning into a bit of an unexpected family tradition - Never done a triathlon, never run a marathon. Ironman ? Yeah that sounds like a good idea … :cwl:

So proud of her :inlove:

Dropped my car off for a couple of days at the spa.

I walked in and there was a sparkling black 2018+ GT getting full PPF so it looks like my baby will have good company while she's getting worked on.

Wiped down the interior since the stereo upgrade/rear seat delete shenanigans caused me to sweat all over the place. Gross but I’m sure you all can relate.
Planning a good drive later.
Happy 4th to all.

I am beyond impressed and will now shut up about the 2.5 hr bike ride I did today. I looked close for time elapsed but assume 12+ hours which is mind boggling. Nice how they make you run slightly uphill to get to the finish line.... sadist!

Impressive!

I've biked over 112 miles once from reading a map wrong. But unless the 26.2 is meters or seconds, not even close running.

I always ask 'what were you running from' lol

Anything over 100 miles is a long, long day and the amount of food/water to get you there is amazing! My personal 'day of suffering' was a 100 miles/10000' of climbing 8 years ago, took 7 hours not counting time spent fixing 3 flats!

Found out they are keeping my car till Friday.

Their main vinyl installer came in and took one look at the job and went "Nope" and walked out. I guess the vinyl from @BigWormGraphix isn't 3M or (can't remember) so they only get one crack at installing something about "if it doesn't go on just right it's trashed".

They had to call their more experienced (and more costly) installer who came in and took a look and said he "could do it but it would take time".

It is what it is. I'd rather it be done right the first time even if it takes more time!

No additional charge to me since they quoted me. The trade-off was they could have it for 2 more days.

Also, the XPEL PPF is going to take time to cure and that won't go on until AFTER the stripes.

The good news is the first layer of ceramic was already put on rear two thirds of the car.

Did the Cars & Coffee thing with friends (no one injured) and had breakfast with some clubmates.
