I went to the drag strip today to get some passes in. Stock except for a pair of drag radials on it. I found that the best 60' was with the drag radials at 22lbs and set to drag mode and in "S" not drive. Was hoping for a quicker ET, 14.9

Today I got and installed BMR Jacking Rails on my new 2022 GT. Took about an hour from start to finish. Fairly easy install. Longest part was probably scraping off the seam sealer near the front two bolts (on both the Driver and Passenger sides). I used blue threadlocker on all 8 bolts (4 per side), and I also used a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to about 55 ft/lbs each.

Used my calibrated elbow when I torqued mine. It went click.

Took it to a track...a go cart track. That shit was fun!

One size fits all is no good when you're a giant. I couldn't stop hitting the brake pedal no matter how I tried to place my foot. I was looking like Donkey Kong in Mario Kart.

I got second overall fastest lap and fastest average lap time.

My first time ever. Thomas was there 3 times this past week alone. I think I did a pretty good job. Give me an hour with a clear track and I'm sure I could make the top 10.

I used a cordless sawzall with a sturdy fine tooth blade. I cleaned it up afterwards with a mill file. I just followed the existing edge.
Ok thank you. Will probably give me a shot this weekend.

Damn, living dangerously I see. Spec is 41 ft/lbs, and blue threadlock increases actual value up to 10% over what you set ;)

Still barely enough to prevent gravity from ripping the rails off a car.

I will likely go give it hell until Thursday - because I'm selling it. Market is too crazy not to take advantage of. My wife's new DD ('22 Bronco) comes in a couple of weeks (trading in her '17 EB Prem Ragtop - getting basically what we paid for it used in '18 for trade in) the dealer saw my car, and made me an offer - with mods included and I can't not take it. So I'll drive the Bronco (my wife works from home 99% of the time - she did even before COVID) or my '12 F150 (at least it has the Coyote - and only 60K miles - not to mention it's paid off). I'll hunt for a project car maybe and fight the urge to start modding the F150 and the Bronco LOL.

It sticks on top of factory. It is very thin and a perfect fit. U can’t tell it an overlay. Perfect fitment.
Needs to remove the dashboard to install it I guess ?

Lets see... installed a motor, installed a hood, front bumper cover and new 20" Forgestar CF10s along with new rubbers.

Then aligned the front end due to a K member install during motor build.

Then gave her a bath.

Then drove to work :)

Lapeer International Dragway. Used to be very "rustic" but new owner has put a lot of money into it. I have to pull the slips and see - can't remember right now and I have them at home waiting to do a spreadsheet. I wanted a "stock" set of data (other than the drag radials) before I do any tuning.
