Interested in these öhlins vs a Steeda pro Action strut and shock with dual rate spring set up. They aren't that much more to go with the R&T coiler setup.

This is *exactly* what I've found. Adding front spring rate is massive in terms of a handling gain. The concern is inducing understeer due to changing the roll-couple, but it's an unwarranted concern. The stiffer front spring actually reduces understeer because it allows you to drive in a more aggressive manner. I personally like the feeling of the rear squatting with a 'soft' rear spring (if it's 'too soft', then add compression damping), but even if you prefer the rear a little stiffer, you'll still be better off with a stiffer front spring.

beautiful!! They are the top of the top for sure. I decided I had to be more practical and couldnt go full coilover (well struts are but just not adjustable) So I went with Steeda Active Dampers and Progressive Springs along with their stop the hop kit in the rear with IRS trusses both front and rear. Wont be amazing like Ohlins (I am a motorcycle guy so I know how awesome they are) but we shall see what happens.
When you get a chance to drive them more give us some more feedback.
I see you get adjust the spring rate, can you adjust the damping and compression?

For street use imo stay under 300 up front. Race track folks seem to gravitate towards 450+.

But talk to the hotpart guys on the phone.

Hi OP @Du_tch

Sorry to revive this from the dead. But I'm curious to know how the Ohlins been holding up for you since you're local to me (I live in Burbank, but work in Beverly Hills). My commute to work is through OutPost Hollywood Hills / muholland, so I'm looking into a better and comfortable street suspension setup. I do canyon runs as well (no track). Were you happy with your original springs from J&M or did you make any adjustments?

Thank you kindly in advance!

I installed these a few weeks ago. I'll be posting up a review soon 😎

Please do! Do you have custom spring weights in mind?
I don't right now. I'm using the Ohlins R&T stock rates. What are you running now, are you on aftermarket suspension or stock?
