Thursday and Friday for May, then on to June, July, etc. 2021 Orders were cancelled by October under better conditions. So remind me-
Will the next rounds all be announced on Friday (only), or should I check my email every 15 minutes like I’m expecting correspondence from Santa ? LOL
They probably aren't even close to knowing how many vehicles they can build this year-especially with the ever changing supply chain issues. At some point it would be nice for Ford, to come clean, and tell the customers that they cannot fulfill all the orders and we are not accepting any more. This goes for all models
I know this will never happen, but it would show the customers that they care and not give us this false hope of getting our cars.
There may or may not be a third week of may scheduling. 2-3 is normal, but if they skip a week they normally move to the next month. That comes out Friday.Thursday and Friday for May, then on to June, July, etc. 2021 Orders were cancelled by October under better conditions.
Where might one find this scheduling update? There may or may not be a third week of may scheduling. 2-3 is normal, but if they skip a week they normally move to the next month. That comes out Friday.
Blue oval forum. Its posted Friday afternoon.Where might one find this scheduling update?
yep since Friday night. my VIN is only at scheduled status so it seems this issue is happening with all status levelsGot a notice last week that the car was “in production” I tracked the VIN and saw the window sticker. But the last couple of days the tracker says it can’t track this vehicle.. the actual build day was today 3/28. So I’m getting nervous. Lol has anyone else seen this? thanks
Ford will not do that. They are moving to an order based business model, similar to how European cars are sold. Thanks for the article. I agree as well.Ford will not do that. They are moving to an order based business model, similar to how European cars are sold. Here is the Car and Driver article from July 2021. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a37187201/ford-build-to-order-online-ordering-changes/
Ford wants to limit inventory to 50 to 60 days. Also, more buyers want to order vehicles with specific features, rather than but what is on the lot. They picked a bad time to announce the change with all of the supply change issues.
They actually have stopped orders on some vehicles, my salesman told me last time I spoke with him that Ford was not allowing any new orders on Maverick’s, and a couple others I don’t rememberFord will not do that. Where did you get this from? All the dealer can tell me is that it's on a train in Illinois, but it's been that way for a week. Delivery window slipped by a full week as well.My car is being held like 2 hours away from the dealership![]()
