Yeah, I swear they had them last week. Waited a little too long. The Falkens are great for local events, but I wanted to try the Yokes ahead of nationals.

I'll add... just got my SP2s on a few weeks ago. These pictures are with the Ford FR3 track package (1" drop). 275/35/19 tires. Car is a PP1 and the pony centre caps clip in tightly and while they are a little loose they certainly won't pop out. You can't tell unless you go and touch them.

My brother had 6GR 10's in bronze on his magnetic grey eco and it looked amazing! He kept the wheels for summertime to use on his red gt.

275/40/19's are factory rear tire size on PP1's, bullitt's, and standard mach 1's. The PP1 and bullitt have them mounted on 9.5" wheels, the mach 1 has them on 10" wheels. A lot of people have used that size in a square setup on both factory 9.5" PP1 wheels and aftermarket 10" wheels, in both stock height and lowered.

I just recently got around to ceramic coating my wheels and getting 285 square PS4S mounted. I used the OEM TPMS from my PP1 wheels. The wheels came with a weird imprint on it, I assume from the SVE fabric wheel covers it shipped with. I cleaned them and coated them myself, and they look pretty good. Quality seems OK, but I did notice a couple small imperfections in the paint. I have yet to put the SVE caps on, but might as well.

Anyways, I've attached pictures of how they look on a stock 2018 PP1 with Magneride suspension. I believe the magneride lowers me about 0.5 inches compared to regular PP1/GT suspension. Even so, I still think I'd prefer another 0.5 inch drop to for a perfect fender gap. This is the only black mustang with black SP2 I've seen, so if you'd like more photos, please let me know. (Oops completely missed that Robs car above is also black on black SP2!)

Well after much agonizing about nothing, I ordered some Indy 500's in 285/35/19. I've had them before on a different car, and I liked how they felt and performed. And the price is just too good to pass up. Tire Rack has a $60 rebate going, so the price of the set is like $980. I know the PS4S and Conti ECS are better tires, and I thought long and hard, but I know they're not $300 or $500 better than these ones, and that they're all dogshit in actual timed laps or on track compared to the real 200TW sticky bois. I just want to do some street and canyon driving on this set for now, and maybe some autocross to learn this car better (I'm okay with being slow while I'm learning). They're more than good enough for that, especially in this size. It also hardly ever rains in the summer here, so wet performance isn't even relevant. It's also pretty much a given it's a struggle to get 20K on a set of summer tires on these cars, which makes swallowing the $1600 pill of the PS4S for example, much harder to swallow.

I waffled on the 275/40 argument for a while, but most of the advantages of that size are pretty minor. The wheel gap is still going to suck either way, so I'd rather just get more width and deal with it later. 275/40 is 1.5% more circumference than the stock sizes, and 285/35 is 1.5% less than stock size. That 3/4 of an inch isn't going to really be that noticeable for most people. The availability aspect is valid, but I noticed a lot of the popular tires were out of stock or on back order, so a more popular size isn't always a benefit in a time of need. Price wise, the Indys in 285 were literally $1 more than in 275, lol. So that didn't matter in this case either. Most of the popular tires were only a few bucks less in 275. Ride quality from the extra side wall probably won't be noticeable either given how small of a difference it is. In the case of the Indy 500 specifically, the tread width tends to run narrower, so I suspect a 275 wouldn't look quite right on these wheels.

That's all my rambling for now, I should have the tires mounted and the wheels on the car in a week or two depending on weather. Maybe my pointless struggle will help someone else eventually.

Same reason I went with Indy 500s over the PS4S, as much as I liked those tires on my factory wheels. I've been really happy with the Indys so far.

No, changing wheels shouldnt change your alignment… but if you haven’t had one in a while, this is a great time to get one, before you put a ton of miles on fresh tires.

Looking good everybody......

I picked up a used set locally with about 5k on them. They were originally the bronze color but were powder coated in Gunmetal. Just waiting for the weather to warm up some more here in Texas since they have summer tires on them.
