I've thought it was a mixed bag with the 2020's. Kind of like the Great Sharkfin Debate.
Well Shark fin was a "Job2" change which occurred around February 2020, along with the "yellow" coolant and some other minor things. My car is a "job1" built in mid October of 2019 and has dual horns. I could see really early 2020MY builds carrying over the clown horn, but it likely didn't last long.

Being born and raised in Windsor, I love living in the US. Even as a non citizen, as long as you're legally allowed to be here, you can buy all the guns you want!

Canada hates fun things, or at least the things I find the most fun, cars and guns. Lol
I used to support Sales Reps in Canada. I remember having a deep conversation about "incitement." I said violence is physical and it's a conscious CHOICE to commit violence on another person. Speech cannot "force" one to commit violence. They kept saying but you can "incite" people to violence and that should be illegal. My mind just won't wrap around that. I was raised with "sticks and stones." Canada used to be a great and proud place, but the libs seem to have fully taken over. Not unlike our own major cities btw.

Now it's all about identity politics, fealty to the state and wokeness. Now the "enforcement" phase is taking place and its frankly very frightening to most freedom loving people. Arresting Pastors for holding church because "the State" says you can't hold services?? At least our Judicial system and Constitution are slapping our local leaders down that are trying to do the same. Sorry for the off topic. Glad you are enjoying our country! Keep letting our libs know where they are headed with their bright ideas of conform or we will destroy you.

What does people violating public health mandates have to do with mufflers? Emphasis on public. Belief in fairy tales/disbelief in reality doesn't grant you immunity. Nor does it protect the innocent bystanders effected by your choices.

Oh come on. H-pipe & SLP loudmouth I I axle backs. Its tame. Cause I don't like stupid loud either haha.
I can tolerate "some" exhaust mods but not the ones where it has a really sharp, raspy note and when they decel, you can hear the backfires meaning very little baffling. Anyway, on the law, our state has a similar "louder than stock" statute which kind of isn't really fair in the sense that a stock Mustang GT is much louder than say a Honda Civic Type R. Sound level should be based on actual sound level spec. I believe the Federal standard is 95 dbA (that's 95 db on the A-weighted scale). Interestingly, I have an A-weighted sound meter (they're not very expensive) with a plus/minus 3db accuracy. When I measured my stock GT's exhaust level using the proper procedure of 20" from the outlet and 45 degrees off to the side, it actually exceeded 95 db when I took it up to 2000 and back down to idle (not snapping the throttle as that would exceed it easily but just smoothly raising and lowering it). Of course, it was within the 3 db accuracy since it measured 98 db. However I have measured Mitsu EVOs that was 110 db with those huge mufflers at the end of the pipe; when they install the little plate that the exhaust shop gives them "just in case", it dropped to precisely 95 db. So anyone who thinks that exhaust shops don't know the federal statute is wrong.

My axle backs are 50 state legal. Which means California legal, which translate to it’s a noise tax .... so that tickets is

% bogus. I ain't gonna pay one goddamn red cent. Well, we don't have cents in Canada anymore so I ain't gonna pay one goddamn nickel.
If you're in Canada, why does your location say Mexico? Also, if you are in Canada, "50 state legal" doesn't mean a thing as that's a U.S. standard.

Sad if being respectful of other people is a west coast only characteristic......
You must be one of those guys that believe in loud pipes saving lives......
Yeah, that's the mentality of bikers in my area. Their excuse for running straight drag pipes without mufflers is that it makes automobile drivers know they're present (like we're blind or something). Of course, despite our "not louder than originally equipped from the factory" law, the cops do NOTHING. No surprise because all our cops here care about are speed traps for the solo bike cops. People drive trucks with tires sticking out of the fenderwells 6" or more, lifted sky high, etc. and no permit for them (which doesn't matter much since the protruding tires are already a "safety inspection" violation here. Let's not ignore the fact that tons of vehicles are running around with expired safety inspection and registrations stickers, many are over 6 months expired. Useless traffic cops here.

Because the "health" mandates were draconian and not at all based on the known science of the high risk demographics. We could have protected the high risk population and hit herd immunity many months ago, instead of total lockdown and tanking our economy (and banning church). As to fairy tales, you believe what you want, I'll believe what I want. Maybe the belief the gas that just... ya know... happened + time = the complexity of the human central nervous system is the "fairy tale." But as far as belief or not, I won't stop you and you don't support stopping me. Fair?

Nothing, but shutting down churches and allowing weed shops and liquor stores to be open says it all.

What is the second thing communists do? After taking your guns they shut down the churches.

First off, no on all points, but I know there won't be any convincing you.

But, so long as you keep your fairy tales out of public policy, fine by me.

It’s funny how most threads on this forum end up in a political arguments
Obviously America is a very fractured country but, at least on this forum, we all have something in common, love of cars and Mustang in particular.... so the truth is that the Mustang is loved by both democrats and republicans, Trump voters and Biden voters, pro-gun and anti-gun...
So, at least on this car forum, let’s celebrate what reunite us instead of what divide us.....
Having different opinions is normal And being able to express them freely is the cornerstone of a free society

Really dude. 50 state compliance most definitely applies to Canada as we base our automotive standards solely on American standards. Except our speeds/distance must have km/h along side the mph.

Last I checked, the First Amendment IS public policy. But I know there won't be any convincing you despite the clarity of the text of our founding documents. As federal judges have ruled, you can't just put the Constitution aside when there is a "public health crisis" that 96% of all people survive even counting the high risk pool, and the pure stupidity of putting COVID patients in nursing homes within that statistic, but carry on.

In case you missed it:

Constitution of United States of America 1789

Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Religion has nothing to do with public policy. It’s a right granted by the constitution in this country. Same as your right to say what ever you want without filter. If you can justify in your mind keeping liquor stores open but not churches. Maybe you bought into a fairytale agenda that was being pushed? And before you say anything else stupid. No I’m not religious. And yes I’ve been vaccinated.
