Former traffic, motorcycle cop here.... Car color has absolutely no influence on your likelyhood to get a speeding ticket! It's YOUR SPEED.
Same thing with who gets a beating or shot. It's NOT your color, it's if you're a scumbag a$$hole doing something to warrant it.
Idk maybe people who pick CO, race red etc tend to speed more but I can tell you for a fact, all we do is scan for the vehicle which is moving way faster than cars around it, visually estimate it's speed and then confirm it with a radar or laser.
Trivia fact...I never caught or issued a speeding ticket to a corvette driver. Maybe the typical corvette driver just babies the car and cruises...? Idk. Middle age, white, mid life crisis men.
Thanks for the political response...However, I beg to differ that profiling doesn't occur especially the fact that you just profiled corvette drivers. Nice try!

HILARIOUS!!!!

Triple Yellow, had a CHIPster ride up next to me and gave me a thumbs up. Last week a cruiser pulled up next to my car as I parked it and they asked me some questions about the car and really weren't interested in my driving record.

poor wording, maybe. intent, spot on. The color of the car makes ZERO difference, his description on how vehicles are observed and chosen is perfect

Color of a car makes a big difference -- at night, if you're speeding with all interior and exterior lights off, it's a lot harder to see a car that's painted dark colors.

Traffic cops don't give a crap what your driving or who you are, we just want to nail people going 20+ over the limit. 15+ on a slow day. No conspiracy, no profiling. There's PLENTY of people doing 20+ over to keep your pen busy.
Seriously..dude get over the conspiracy or profiling or quota thing.
The corvette thing..?? Just an observation I thought was interesting in 20 years. How did I profile them by saying what I said. It just seemed interesting every time I saw one it was going at or below the speed limit.
What got me excited at work? Seeing a vehicle (don't care what kind or color) coming that's hauling ass and you get to chase it. The satisfaction was knowing my two baby daughters were in a vehicle on the same roads and had no say in their own safety.

Already got one

Honestly I was just chillin on the way to work in no real rush, I wasn't driving like a jackass, just rollin in the left lane relaxing with the seat back. Officer was cool, scaled the 'accused' speed back to a lesser ticket and told me to take it to the track and have some real fun with it haha. He kept pausing and glancing around at the inside as he gave me his spiel. Oh well, got to break the ice

Dark outside and Deep Impact Blue, which is particularly dark at night. Go figure.

Oh yea, in his spiel he told me he wasn't trying to make a quota, genuinely loves his job and he's just nabbing speeders. I have no problem admitting that speeding and reckless driving causes accidents and is an endangerment, whether the idiot is other people on the road or yourself. Something I gotta know full and well piloting a vehicle with the capabilities this one has. just my 2 cents

Never had a problem in my 14, hope to keep it the same with the GT, of course I don't speed though so that helps haha.

Seriously, dude...get over making comments that people that own a certain car is a certain race, age, and/or mid-life crisis (an emotional crisis of identity and self-confidence that can occur in early middle age.)

20+ or 15+? Try +6 in many small towns throughout the country. And we're not talking 31 in a 25 zone or the idiots who speed in school zones. I've had friends ticketed for 71 in a 65 around here. "Whoa, you were doing 71 on a long, straight, divided 4 lane road? Freakin' hooligan."

But FWIW, I see far more pick-ups pulled over here than I do any other type of vehicle. The only place I saw a lot of shiny red Corvettes and BMWs pulled over was on I-95 between DC and Philly. Why? because they were the ones flying by the flow of traffic, which was usually 75-80.

What's this world coming to when a man can't profile a middle aged white guy... That's me.

I laughed at myself too - ALL good.

Not the first time for me though...Let me put it this way...I'm one of those guys that gets a speeding ticket in less than 1 hour after of obtaining my drivers license. Talk about making your parents proud.

Many years later and I still haven't learned to play nice with toys.
You have my son's luck. He's had more speeding tickets at age 25 (4) than I've had at age 51 (1). No maniac stuff either. The kid just seems to be the wrong place at the wrong time. I was hoping he'd fall in love with the Mustang EB, but on second thought, he's better off in his Hyundai.
