Eh, I don't have good internet at home, can't really get close enough to the building at work and website still tries to charge me.

Guess I'm gonna have to wait.
This was from the meme thread but I thought it was relevant here.

The Sync upgrade took 20 minutes....After the sync upgrades, the system then begins to download the map updates via WiFi only.......now those take days over a really fast WiFi connection.

Yeah, I have the newest SYNC, but couldn't upload a log file. I might have to set up a wifi extender near my garage, but it'll take forever to get the silly update downloaded.

Honestly I cannot imagine any changes in 1.20 worth going through the cost and effort. I’m staying with 1.19 until I can download 1.20 onto a USB.

I haven't noticed any changes that stand out.

You guys both make a good point actually, didn't even realize how little difference there probably is between 19 and 20. It's one of those things of "wanting to be on the newest and greatest," but I guess at what cost.

Now for example for my wife's F150 (bought it used), the maps are still on 1.17 and there I actually actively notice a difference as it's not finding newer POIs.
But, we gravitate towards Android Auto there anyway.

At least in my neck of the woods there were a large number of speed limit errors in NA 1 19, many more than in 1 15 or 1 18. The NA 2 20 maps fixed most of those issues.

If the address is newer, say a year to a year and a half it will not show. Car nav maps are always behind.

I think there is a mix of various sources they have to get addresses from.

For example our work building has been finished in late 2018, road built to it. I even reported road missing for like 6 months straight.
Between USPS activating/confirming the address and Google Maps actually mapping the road, it took over 2 years.

Surprisingly, the road was in my 1 19 map update before it appeared "driveable" on Google Maps (where Google Maps would use it for nav)

Over the past 10 years there have only been a few new roads (all housing developments) in my area and it has taken a year or more after people have actually started to move into the homes on those roads for the road to show up on Google Maps.

I always get a chuckle when I hear folks say Google Maps is always up to date. While I am quite sure they are updating The Google Maps data bases on some regular schedule it is certainly not in real time. Plus I am quite sure that once they are aware of a new road there are things that have to happen before it can be added to the map database.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying about USPS, I think they got more to do with it as well.

You know what though, the weirdest thing is Waze had the road mapped and driveable looong before Google Maps did. Which is weird as Google Maps / Google owns Waze.
