Did you guys get the 2 20 maps for free still? I got my Bullitt in 2020, at that point 1 19 came out and may have used my only free download.

When I pulled in my garage day before yesterday I noticed it said software update. Normally I do this over USB but was unable to send the confirmation file back so I figured it was reloading that. Today it said it was finished updating and I noticed my maps went from 1 17 (was 1 19 but didn't show it) to 2 20. I guess it does update Maps over the air.

Huh, I might actually have to go back and enable the WiFi updates, I did the last Build (21020) over the USB, but it gave me no log file.

You guys think if I put on my phone hotspot every day for my commute of about 25min each way, I could slowly get my files downloaded over the next few days? My home wifi is crap.

It wont work, I tried it for a 3 days and it only download half the file before it failed. It restarted downloaded it again.

"It" being a phone hotspot? How long do these generally take? I know there were some screenshots little bit back on internet speeds. Until Starlink is up, I'm stuck to about 18Mbps down, which good luck with that

If the download is OTA there is no charge. Someone earlier said the free updates was extended to three years or something like that.

According to a Ford Supervisor it's not 1 free download it's 3 years of free downloads.

I gotcha. I tried my VIN, it gives me only the option for the USB and $40 of a charge.
Maybe I need to go through my old donwload link that was active for the 1 19?

Is it the syncnavigation.com/ford/available-updates ?

I think if you only have that option then there's not a new update available.
I was told an update is any day now but she wouldn't tell me exactly when.

on wifi it took like 20 minutes. The problem with hotspots is that packets get lost or corrupted so the download would takes like2 to 3 hours. When your driving your hotspot is going through low signal and dead zones which is why the download failed for me. When I normally drive that same road while watching a YouTube vide I lose signal for about 2 minutes and the quality goes down to 360p in several spots. I drive 35 minutes each way and like I said before it got corrupted and it failed

The idea of trying to do a computer software update under these conditions just blows my mind. I would never think to do a cellphone update under varying conditions much less car electronics. It just begging for a corruption issue.

Eh, I don't have good internet at home, can't really get close enough to the building at work and website still tries to charge me.

Guess I'm gonna have to wait.

I mean if your going to use a hotspot then I say find a spot that you have the most stable connecting and don’t move from there until it’s all done. It’s about 3 to 4 downloads after installing the lad test sync update. For that update I suggest you use a usb
