UPdate to myself lol...I went with the PNR Stage IV cooler and returned the fans and got the larger heat exchanger. I think from all that I have read - it is the best choice.
Hi. That seems to be the direction I am going except the cooler. Have fun. I will order mine this fall

Thanks Doug - Whipple stated no change to my order status with changing between fans and bigger HX - so it is ordered instead of the fans. I feel it is the right choice.

Thanks Doug - I ordered my package in December. They are simply changing the add on (removing fans - adding larger HX).

For what it's worth, the most effective mod I've tried for cooler manifold charge temp is the MFP Phenolic Spacers. Aluminum is a great conductor of heat. By interrupting the aluminum to aluminum connection between the heads and the manifold/intercooler, it makes any water/air system more effective. It allows the whole system to recover quicker from heat soak. I was going to get an ice tank, but I was so happy with the spacer that I didn't bother. With an ice tank, I'll bet it will be amazingly effective. I have an old gen 2 whipple, before they went to the head unit under the intercooler, so I don't know if it will fit with the newer systems. It's also pretty expensive, but was worth every penny to me.

OPG and CS yes. Clutch is a Mantic twin. I ran the stock clutch for a year at 709whp without any issues at all and shifted at 75-7700rpm
Thank you for your help.
- Can you give me Pros and Cons to switching to E85?
- Do you drive your car on the street or Strip or Both?
- Do you do a sample your E85 each time you fill up
- Do you run a nGauge
- What Boost are you pulling with the 3.5 pulley.
- Street, Start Up Drivability?
Thank you for your help.

Since you are not getting much traction - I will give you my own experiences with E85/98 - I am not an engineer - this is just my feedback:

Pro's are many IMHO. Ethanol is used on the most powerful modded builds for a reason over C/Q16. It provide the octane boost - but also the cooling properties and volume for impressive knock suppression. Lot's of great articles on exactly how ethanol works for performance tuning. Cons are usually availability and cost as you are using 30-50%+ more fuel than straight petrol.
I had an E98 car that I drove on the street (non-Mustang) - although middle of the pack these days for power - it was still fairly up there at 1650 whp. It ran as smooth as stock. Caveat to this is I had a dual injector setup - 1300cc for normal operation and start-up and 2000cc for WOT (combined for 3300cc). So I think as long as you are in the 1300cc or below you are good (2000cc on their own start up (and idle) pretty rough.
We bought from the barrel - so we were confident of the purity. That said - with flex fuel - it adjusts. I don't have station pumps with E85 available to me. I have an NGauge and it will be tuned by Lund.
Cannot answer the pulley yet - my car isn't done yet.
Startup I answered above - street - zero issues. I am a huge ethanol fan - removes the need for meth (which I am not a fan of) - performance and safety if tuned right is hard to beat. I even like the smell lol...

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have Run Alcohol, Nitro with Dual Nitrous on a street race motor cycle when I was younger. I know all about Alcohol, what I was hoping you could answer is; For the Mustang, Are their any issues running E85 as far as having to do regular fuel system purges, Cleaning, Inspections on the OEM Fuel system? Does the OEM Fuel system, Lines, O Rings seals etc. have any issues on E85?. If the car sits for a period of time like for the winter, Do you do some type of Prep?. Do you have to check the E85 Fuel each time you fill up for proper consistency?. I just don't want to open a new can of worms by creating more work than I really want to get into. Thank you for your help

No problem Doug - only my experience - Mustang, my car isn't done yet - so I cannot answer most of those questions yet. My understanding is there are many many S550's on corn. Car sitting - fuel is purged before it sits of ethanol. We bought barrels - quality wasn't an issue. Flex fuel adjusts tune.

So if I used the Flex Fuel Tune to alleviate any issue with E85 Purity, Every winter I would have to drain my Tank and purge my fuel lines? Man that's a tough one for me. Thanks

Although modern cars can handle ethanol better than older cars - my understanding is yes - you do not want ethanol to sit in your car for a long period of time. We drained/purged often for safety.

I guessed that would be the smart thing. I know when I used to use Alcohol and Nitro, I would first put any Seals or O Rings in a glass of it for 24 hours and then examine to see if they had swelled or deteriorated. Plus unless the Fuel Pump was designed to run this 24 7 at some time it will be negatively affected. I do appreciate your help.
