My season was short due to the massive Whipple Wait - but overall I am happy with how I did. 9.7 at 148 MPH on a 3.25" pulley, 10 rib, stock lower at 15.5 lbs of boost.
The thing that has made issues for me - from the beginning - is the 10R80. It hunts - all the time - even on my best runs...
HRSEPLA has been using ET Street R's for his 9.0 passed at 153+ MPH - with I believe the same setup pulley wise (he is stock engine though). Not a 60-130 pull though. I have run 5.15 on my setup using a 3.25" pulley but on the 10 rib (I'm stock engine as well running 15.5 psi on a Gen 5). I...
Thanks TKM - so - trans is just a clutch kit with the circle D unit. I have the 258mm - and I was unaware that the 10R80's have more than one stall version (I know the 6R80's do)? So you were 960+ on this run or you did the intake before making this run?
Much appreciated!
Congratulations - that is a solid run! That is a super solid MPH...A couple of questions; what power are you making? When you say built trans - anything beyond Circle D and clutch packs? (Midnight Performance etc.). Thanks and well done!
UPdate...
I ran out of E85 - because I have to drive the 300+KM round trip - and two full outings was all I could make - there was enough left only for something local - or a trailer - which didn't line up.
So - back to pump - and I am glad I did as I continue to have some transmission...
I do think the 4's are solid...and the car remains fairly happy. That said - it is always fun going full tilt - but I have done that before and I am good just to keep the build there...for now anyway lol. Good luck with your build!
Very solid at that DA...AT 18 psi you are making some jam. I haven't decided if I am going to up the boost (I'm at 15.5 psi on a Gen 5 Whipple) - as I believe I can run in the fours at this level - and I have far better air than you. That is enough for me. If I am going bigger boost - I think I...
We have the same setup - and you are correct and the 5.1 prediction- the 3.15's are a key difference IMHO. I actually believe my setup will run a 4.x 60-130 with better air. I hope to have one last trip to the track to find out weather permitting.
Congrats - that is a super solid ET and MPH! Is this without any spray? I ask because I had a PC setup before and for bigger power applications - you needed a shot for the launch to get your 60' down.
LOL - that would explain it...I read foxbody as you can tell...That said - I am even more surprised you got a fourth gen Camaro with sub 700 whp down a track to a mid 140 MPH trap speed...
Wow - is a fourth gen Mustang not a 2004? Maybe I am thinking about the wrong Mustang?
EDIT: I am seeing this - https://www.cjponyparts.com/resources/mustang-curb-weights
The reason I press this point is power to weight must be a significant factor - even with the valid points you make about...
So far - this is really accurate. I ran 5.15 with 860 whp. The car trapped 148+ MPH on that run. That said - I found out my tune started me in 1st instead of 2nd gear - so with some luck - I may be able to get that 60-130 into the high 4's. Hoping to get to the track this Saturday - weather...
