Just in case anyone is curious on the replacement cost of Predator...

Only reason for would be a warranty replacement .
if you blew up the motor with mods (hence no warranty ) there is no way you would pay $25k to replace it with the same thing .

you could build a predator long block /sleeved with better rods/piston /bearings and even up the compression while you were at It for half that price ...

FP often packages short/longblocks in a way that is favorable to enthusiasts over a service part. They also sometimes "repackage" service parts such that they are less expensive than buying from a Ford service department. But for seamless integration you can't beat the service parts, however crazy expensive they may be.

By ford’s whacky definitions, long block is fully dressed (or mostly dressed in some cases) service engine has block, rotating assembly, and complete heads, and short block is bare block with rotating assembly only.

FWIW, the long block (oil pan to valve covers, no front dress/balancer) is available for $21.5K including core and the supercharger is about $5.8K + shipping. Both on backorder at the moment.
