And spouting your socialist rhetoric.....
No, its called being informed and knowledgeable rather than being influenced and gullible. I would expect someone who has a college education to know the difference.

For all you China lovers out there, esp Gregs24

Evidence that China has caused all these deaths. Even the American deaths that gregs24 seems to find funny.
Speaking of influenced and gullible. I thought Fox News said you should never under any circumstances listen to anonymous sources. I don't trust China, but I certainly can't trust Fox News here either, be skeptical of these clickbait, no real journalism headlines.

Edit: https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...take-theories-about-outbreaks-chinese-origin/ This is much better journalism.

This is beyond disgusting and incredibly sad. I can only imagine the terrible circumstances playing out at other such subpar facilities in the US.
I believe that his is something we can all agree with. My wife worked as the HR administrator and staffing director at nursing home in Central NJ. Even during the best of times staffing was a nightmare. Getting enough people, let alone qualified people was virtually impossible. We both cannot imagine what it is like under today's conditions.

And to bring matters closer to home, my 91 yo father in law is in a rehab/nursing facility on Long Island, NY. He was recently diagnosed with COVID-19. Amazingly enough the old codger is fighting it off and, at least for now, is doing OK.

Good on your old father-in-law and hope he gets through it.

An old boy in the UK has caused quite a stir in the last few days raising ÂŁ14m for NHS charity. This is what a true community is all about.

That is great and something to make us all feel a little better in a time that has been very frustrating. We would all be doing so well to be above the sod at 99 much less doing laps!

I am glad you get relief and entertainment out of the deaths of Americans. No wonder we kicked your ilk out of our country.
Honestly, I don’t think anybody’s taking ANY pleasure in watching the death tally rise.
It’s more a case of watching, mouth agape, wondering how much worse it can get before it gets better.

In Australia we’re fortunate that our government jumped on top of it relatively quickly, taking fairly strict measures and having the support and understanding of the public and business’ (broadly speaking).
We’ve made our mistakes too, don’t get me wrong. Things could always be better, but hindsight offers us 20/20 vision of course.
I just hope that your curve starts to look like ours sooner rather than later.
The signs are there that it might be starting to happen.

A question:
Here in Australia the government will be releasing a tracking app (completely optional) for people to download to their phone. The idea being that they can more easily target testing as new cases are discovered.

Is this something that the US or UK are looking at/have done?
Is it likely that the citizens would embrace it?

Those were his words, not mine. I don't think it's funny at all. I try to show respect to other peoples cultures until they don't deserve respect. One of the big problem we are having right now is that some deaths that are unrelated to CV 19 are being reported as CV19 apparently to receive more federal aid. So our death toll is likely somewhat smaller than the published. Most Americans are not going to sign up for an app that allows our government to follow us around. We are kinda funny about giving up our rights to privacy and freedom. Probably stems from being a former colony of a tyrannical despotic government.

But you quote the NYT and Washpo like a good little lemming.

You really do have a problem. At no point have I EVER said the death of Americans or anybody is FUNNY or entertaining. Please quote where you think I have.

As for kicking us out - once again reverting to silly historical irrelevant comments that add nothing to the discussion. If you want to start a thread on us tyrannical Brits then do so but this is supposed to be about COVID19

Fortunately, I know a lot of US citizens and your xenophobic, narcissistic views are not what the average US citizen thinks, thank goodness

Evidence ? Really ?

Oh and he has just found out he can't do what he wants re lifting the lockdown (which everybody but him seemed to know already) - more comedy gold from the Trump show.

So I'm a China lover - again please quote where I have expressed these sentiments.

UK are looking at it but it requires 80% of phone users to join to be effective and a lot of the older at risk people don't have appropriate phones. The feedback has been positive from the public though and it could be one of a package of controls used to help slow spread. Privacy is a big factor but it is thought that it could be OK given sufficient control in the app. It is a balance between freedom, privacy and disease control.

Yeah, doc doesn't get that you can be biased (all media is) and still be factual. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-post/ Or you can be biased and be "borderline questionable based on poor sourcing and the spreading of conspiracy theories that later must be retracted after being widely shared." https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news/

Some of us here don't have an agenda and honestly just want to stop the spread of misinformation and ignorance.
