You really do have a problem. At no point have I EVER said the death of Americans or anybody is FUNNY or entertaining. Please quote where you think I have.

As for kicking us out - once again reverting to silly historical irrelevant comments that add nothing to the discussion. If you want to start a thread on us tyrannical Brits then do so but this is supposed to be about COVID19

Fortunately, I know a lot of US citizens and your xenophobic, narcissistic views are not what the average US citizen thinks, thank goodness
"I then tune in to Trump for my little bit of light relief and entertainment."
Those are dead Americans he is talking about.

Yeah, doc doesn't get that you can be biased (all media is) and still be factual. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-post/ Or you can be biased and be "borderline questionable based on poor sourcing and the spreading of conspiracy theories that later must be retracted after being widely shared." https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news/

Some of us here don't have an agenda and honestly just want to stop the spread of misinformation and ignorance.
I use the exact same website to establish the credibility of my sources. Actually, I used to use a few, but they generally tended to agree with one another. Cut it back to the one over time.

Funny, you spout off about balanced articles then proceed with your own pre conceived opinions about our President who has done a much better job than your own government at containing the spread. Trump Derangement Syndrome runs deep in this world. I can see exactly who gets upset when the "natural order" of things gets upset by electing a true America First President. Go be a globalist stooge if you want. you probably thought Obama, who couldn't string two sentences together without saying Umm 17 times was a genius.

Oh I get it, kinda like you. Occasionally you have a fact that you use but with your blatant TDS you skew the meaning to be anti Trump whether it stated that way or not. Somehow a global pandemic that was started in China and spread to every country in Europe and North America somehow became Trump's fault. Of course everything good that was going on in this country happened in spite of him. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

https://thehill.com/changing-americ...0-percent-of-coronavirus-deaths-may-have-been

As proven by - Korea, Iceland, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Taiwan, Canada, Hong Kong, and Ireland.

Least we do not forget a difference of trillions of dollars too. Trump has basically burned through 8-10 trillion in a SINGLE term, but thanks for that 1200$ 'socialist' check that'll totally get everyone through these tough times while millionaires will receive far more relief than most taxpayers. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-loophole-a9466476.html?utm_source=reddit.com

I'll break down the tax scheme - Say 2015-2019 you made 5 million and paid 1m in taxes (lol big business paying taxes), for a total of 25mil earned and 5mil in tax. You made 20m after tax. Now, in 2020 due to covid19 your business didn't do so well, but lucky for you the GOP introduced a tax loophole allowing you to 'carry back net operating losses for up to 5 years.'

Now let's say your business lost money this tax year. Say 5mil, you could pay 0 in taxes this year, or instead, you could retroactively apply a loss of 1m to each of the previous 5 years. Now in each of the last 5 years, we can pretend you made 4m and only had to pay 750k in taxes. This year you still made 0 because your loss was moved back, so you still pay 0. Now you have saved 1.25mil. Now let's say your business made money this tax year. There are already tax loopholes that allow you to claim losses even if you made money, so not only are you skipping out on this year's taxes, you're also saving that extra 1.25mil.

Also, they suspended the aviation excise tax on passengers, freight and fuel so feel free too take the private jet you were able to down pay with your tax savings anywhere in the world. This will cost the fed 8 billion. https://taxfoundation.org/cares-act-senate-coronavirus-bill-economic-relief-plan/

This is the reason why wealth is consolidating more and more. Small shops cant survive because they are both outcompeted by big companies on economies of scale and taxation. It's fucking disgusting and its a shame. America without small businesses is basically a fiefdom and it is exactly what Republicans are pushing towards.

Edit: It isn't Trump's fault the virus happened, however, it is his fault that he lacked the leadership and ethics to minimize the losses. Do I need to post a timeline of Trump's foolishness and unpreparedness?

Jan 31 Biden campaigns in Iowa and tells the crowd that Americans “need to have a president who they can trust what he says about it, that he is going to act rationally about it. ... This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia – hysterical xenophobia – and fearmongering to lead the way instead of science.”
An article in The New York Times quotes epidemiologist Dr. Michael Osterholm as saying that Trump's decision to restrict travel from China was "more of an emotional or political reaction
Feb 2 Meanwhile, New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot tweets: “As we gear up to celebrate the #LunarNewYear in NYC, I want to assure New Yorkers that there is no reason for anyone to change their holiday plans, avoid the subway, or certain parts of the city because of #coronavirus."
Feb. 7: Barbot strikes again, assuring residents, "We’re telling New Yorkers, go about your lives, take the subway, go out, enjoy life."
Feb. 9: Mark Levine, the chair of New York City Council health committee and a Democrat, tweets: "In powerful show of defiance of #coronavirus scare, huge crowds gathering in NYC's Chinatown for ceremony ahead of annual #LunarNewYear parade. Chants of 'be strong Wuhan!' If you are staying away, you are missing out!"
Feb. 11: Klain, the Biden adviser, remarks that the evidence "suggests" the coronavirus won't be a "serious pandemic."
Feb. 13: "There are ZERO confirmed cases of coronavirus in New York City, and hundreds of Chinese restaurants that need your business!" the New York City mayor's office tweets. "There is nothing to fear. Stop by any Chinatown for lunch or dinner!"
Feb. 24: “It’s exciting to be here, especially at this time, to be able to be unified with our community,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., tells reporters as she visits San Francisco's Chinatown. “We want to be vigilant about what is out there in other places. We want to be careful about how we deal with it, but we do want to say to people ‘Come to Chinatown, here we are — we're, again, careful, safe — and come join us.'”
Feb. 28: At a campaign rally, Trump calls Democrats' criticisms of his coronavirus response "their new hoax." Biden and other Democrats then falsely accused Trump of calling the virus itself a hoax. Several fact-checkers, including The Washington Post, make clear that Trump was referring to the Democrats' response to the virus.
Mar. 2: "Since I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus, I thought I would offer some suggestions," New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio tweets. "Here’s the first: thru Thurs 3/5 go see 'The Traitor' @FilmLinc. If 'The Wire' was a true story + set in Italy, it would be this film."
Mar. 4: Barbot, the top New York City health official, declares, “There’s no indication that being in a car, being in the subways with someone who’s potentially sick is a risk factor."
Mar. 9: At a Fox News town hall, Bernie Sanders says he would not close the border, even if it were necessary to halt the spread of coronavirus. He then attacked Trump's "xenophobia."
Mar. 11: Trump blocks most travel from continental Europe.
Mar. 17: France imposes a nationwide lockdown. European Union leaders agree to mostly seal off the bloc for 30 days.
Mar. 30: Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. issue stay-at-home orders, joining other states. In all, approximately 265 million Americans are now under indefinite lockdown.

If only we were governed by liberals, none of this would ever happen.

Mar. 23: Britain imposes a nationwide lockdown.

Mar. 24: India imposes a nationwide lockdown.

Meanwhile, Trump declares a national emergency, authorizing $50 billion in federal funds to go to the states.

On CNN, Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta downplay the virus.

“The flu right now is far deadlier," Cooper says. "So if you’re freaked out at all about the coronavirus you should be more concerned about the flu, and you can actually do something about it, and get a flu shot."

"15,000 people roughly have already died of the flu this season," Gupta responded. "Couple years ago, 60,000 people died of the flu."

In response to this, I have a hard enough time keeping track of my own taxes, the only reason we have to pay so much in taxes is because of a big bloated federal government that is easily 80% larger than it has to be. Without the bloated bureaucracy we could afford endless social welfare programs, without being the world's policeman we could afford social welfare programs, without funding the defense of Europe and funding the UN and WHO we could afford social welfare programs, without having to defend against terrorism because we constantly meddle in foreign affairs we could afford social welfare programs. Let's stop funding the WHO and give the money to the CDC. Let's stop supporting Europe and spend the money revamping our inner cities, let's cut the size of the federal government and use that money to buy shoes for poor kids.

First, I see you didn't bother to acknowledge anything I said. Second, Biden is not the president and I would be doing the same criticism had he done just as a terrible of a job.

I agree with some of your statements here and you have the right idea. However, if we ran our gov't on a long term economic plan rather than short term payoffs and closed loopholes/taxed correctly, we could easily have a lot of nice things. It's too bad people can't see the big picture and only want instant gratification.

I am pretty sure Trump did this personally.
And I did respond to your other views, just in a different post.

It's not a tax collection problem, it is a spending problem. Although, the economy has been rock solid since the federal reserve and taxing income started in 1913.

Pointless list. This is the most important one:

Feb 2 - Starts China travel restrictions

Trump was roundly criticized for this and likely if not implemented (as per democrat/Biden outcry) we would have multiples of cases and deaths right now.

The President has no power to shut down or re-open states. This is pretty simple - the covid-19 pandemic in the US is a tale of two states: NY and NJ and everywhere else. As of right now, 44% of all US cases and 57% of all US deaths are in NY and NJ. The percentage of cases has held steady for a month. The percentage of deaths has grown over the last month from 42% to 57% today. Bottom line - NY and NJ blew it and waited at least a week too long to shut everything down. The rest of the country is handling this very well - hospitals never got close to being overwhelmed. So reminds us again who are the governors of these states?

Pointless list. This is the most important one:
Yeah, totally pointless to showcase his apparent lack of expertise and leadership. Remind me again how it is pointless to document extremely disgusting and shameful behavior from a sitting president who constantly downplayed the threat, called a health expert 'alarmist' for bringing up the seriousness of it, and has done less than almost every other developed nation to federal enforce guidelines on reducing the spread.

There was no ban of Americans coming back from China, this did, in fact, lead to a larger spread. The reason it is on the list is because it did nothing to stop the spread.

So reminds us again who are the governors of these states?
Do you really think that if the President were to have taken the lead and asked for what other nations and even some American states had been doing that the governors wouldn't have listened? Are you seriously using the strawman argument 'oh, well what can he do he's only the president who said he has complete authority?'

I really can't understand how people defend his actions. I get that you like the dude, nothing wrong with that, but he fucked up and the evidence is LITERALLY everywhere.

Factually incorrect opinion and flat out nonsense. Dr Fauci made it clear the China shutdown made a huge difference. Trump haters believe whatever fits their narrative. You ignore the actions of TWO governors because you can't defend them. They saw what was going on in CA and WA - and NYC being the most densely populated city in the US should have been the first to shutdown.

Nothing was the wrong word. It did help, however, it did not do as much as a total ban from China would have. Not that a travel ban even stops the spread of a virus it only slows it. Which yes would have been great had we even been prepared for this in the first place rather than downplaying it for months.

Trump haters believe whatever fits their narrative.
The narrative you mean his quotes and statements?

You ignore the actions of TWO governors because you can't defend them. They saw what was going on in CA and WA - and NYC being the most densely populated city in the US should have been the first to shutdown.
NY state has tested more people than CA, Texas, Florida, PA, and Illinois COMBINED. Those 5 states make up over 100 million people, NY 20mil. So yeah, of course, NY is going to have a bigger problem. Can you get off the Trump train and learn to do a little research?
