Well look at this this way.

1. Trump wins - Democrat's lose and he's gone in four years.
2. Bernie wins - We all lose and it could be for eight years.

Much like the Republicans all fell in line with Trump, the Democrats will need to do so for Biden.
Not sure Biden has the stamina, New Hampshire and Iowa almost gave him a brain aneurism. I wouldn't discount the Bernie Bros either, very grass roots with a tinge of Antifa. I wager to say most party dems will say, either 4 years of beating up on Trump or destroying the entire US economy and may just stay home.

Biden has mental (let alone outright criminal graft) problems. The dems should just give up and cede the presidency in return for House efforts and further overthrowing States' AG and DoS. At least they have a successful track record of spending Soros and Mini-Mike money on that front.

Honestly not sure I see a democratic path to success based on the crazy debates.
The party is simply too fragmented to win in my opinion. Its almost as though Bloomberg got in to give his media friends a stock boost.

Did you miss Saturday's primary? :) Things have changed significantly. We probably will not have final numbers until tomorrow or Thursday as all the ballots will need to be counted. I believe Bernie will start out strong based on the early write-ins but Biden will close the gap. I guess we'll see. Now if Biden can keep the delegate count close maybe Obama and Harris will jump in on his bandwagon. That could really hurt Bernie.

A few things to remember about Bloomberg. One, he's a Republican running as a Democrat. On top of that he is a moderate conservative. So not some ultra liberal lefty. He came into this race because he didn't feel Biden would be as strong as it turned out and he cannot stand Bernie. So depending on how today goes and other endorsements, Bloomberg might drop out too. Lastly money. The color is green not red or blue. Bloomberg's money makes Trump look like a pauper. And he earned his money, it wasn't handed to him on a silver platter. Now I'm not for anyone buying an election (as if it hasn't happened on both sides numerous times) but it's his money and he it entitled to spend it as he sees fit. Think about it. A billionaire vs. a billionaire campaign could be fun.

He's a new yorker and jumps on any train that advances his ideals at the time. IMO he doesn't fit neatly in either camp and tries to have it both ways. Hence the flip-flops.

On top of that he is a moderate conservative. So not some ultra liberal lefty.
Have you LOOKED at what he's been buying with his money and the progroms he's been pushing? The guy isn't remotely a conservative. He's business friendly on some things and a "do gooder" totalitarian in others. He's a businessman and technocrat who understands that gov't is a cesspool of incompetence and graft. And that data and measurement should get top billing. I have no objection to that either in the general case.

He's not at all wrong about black and brown crime in the general case, and the moral degeneracy of the same group as it relates to social behavior and suitability to employment. Of course the grievance industry will just cry 'racist' and refuse delivery of the truth... Stop and Frisk was a case of a "public good" arising out of an admittedly questionable and localized deprivation of rights. Should we surrender Constitutional rights for such things? I don't think so. Otherwise we go down mini-Mike's rabbit hole of justifying tortuous interference in business (eg. sodas, salt shakers etc.) and right to self defense.

But apologizing for his choices was stupid!

He came into this race because he didn't feel Biden would be as strong as it turned out and he cannot stand Bernie.
No objection there. But instead of torturing the rules, as he was late to the party he should have backed an existing business-friendly candidate of which there were at least two. Otherwise "rules" mean nothing.

Bloomberg's money makes Trump look like a pauper. And he earned his money
Initially he had a novel information offering, which was fine. Kudos for spotting the opportunity and more power to him. But his dominance of the terminal and information business wasn't entirely above-board - just because he wasn't prosecuted for Illegal tying and anti-trust violations doesn't mean his hands are clean.

Sound like anyone else you know? Trump is neither a Republican nor a Conservative at heart. You need to read up on his history in the 70's and 80's. As much as you want you cannot have it both ways.

Have you LOOKED at what he's been buying with his money and the programs he's been pushing? The guy isn't remotely a conservative.
Of course, not now. He's running as a Democrat. Again, check his history as to when he was Mayor of NY.

Remember in politics, it's their game and they are the players. We are only the spectators. G-d bless the USA :flag:

Sorry, missed one.
Again, it's the pot calling the kettle black. Do you really not know of anything Trump was accused of as a key real estate mogul in New York. Big Daddy kept him out of jail on more than one occasion. And that was due to the Democrats he had in his pocket. Trump had more dirt on his hands than the next 10 real estate corporations put together.

Listen, i know you love the guy and that's OK. But it doesn't erase the past. I grew up a New Yorker. Those who were there back then know the truth. We still find it amazing that he was even allowed to run. He is quite the character, I'll give you that.

I don't believe I made any comment as to Donny's hands being clean or otherwise.

Which 'guy' are we talking about? I'm no big fan of the Donald but I'll take him over mini-me every day and twice on Sunday. I like both in the sense that they are both "f'k you" people and don't mind stepping hard on the establishment toes to steer the ship a few points off it's historic trajectory. But Bloomberg is up to his eyebrows in Chinese influence and absolutely can not be counted on to keep the pressure on and further curtail their economic and political influence on this country.

My bad on "hands". I'm just so used to hearing about how corrupt the left is, I instinctively go right. I think both sides at any given time are equally guilty. Thanks for straightening me out.

The "guy" was Trump. Sorry, I tend to mix up you and Doc. Cut me some slack, I'm old. :giggle:

Well, if it becomes a race between 2 rich white dudes, i will vote for the devil I know, not the devil I don't know. Trumps pro america policies are reason enough to invite him back. He will get bored after 2 years of getting beat in and hand of the baton to the VP. There will be no more races to win, nothing more to prove.

Actually Biden didn't really start making any money until after he left the Vice President's office. https://www.forbes.com/sites/michel...idate-built-a-9-million-fortune/#4ace218b104d Certainly not in a league with Trump and Bloomberg.

So here is what I want if Trump wins. I want the Democrats to let it go, finally, and I want O'Connell to start passing legislation that has already passed in the house including many bipartisan bills. I want congress to go back to work. If that means Trump look good so be it, I really do not care at this point. If Biden/Bernie wins they better win the senate also. Otherwise another four years of doing nothing.
