I bought my unit a couple years ago at seicane and it took two weeks I believe. They made it seem like the dongle will work with any android headunit, I've downloaded the app and it it looks to be working, I just need the dongle to test it

Yes it enables android and apple CarPlay, its suppose to work with all android headunits that are running android 4.0 and up I believe.

Ok guys finally got the damn dongle lol, It took forever. All and all is really a nice thing to have, it adds android auto as advertised and it runs pretty smooth just like it would if it had it from the factory. I set it to auto connect so whenever I plug in my phone it starts. Here are some pics

Have you also been able to keep the original Sync system working? You wouldn't happen to have any pics of what it does when you give it voice commands or receive texts, etc?

Yes you keep all the other apps you had before, you can exit out of android auto and back into your normal stuff. I'll try and get some more pics tomorrow but basically voice commands while on android auto are answered by google assistant and by siri while on apple CarPlay, you can choose to have your messages read out to you when they come in or just to have them pop up on the screen

IT looks to be the same yes. I wouldn't buy it from seicane like I did because it took forever, I've seen lots of them on Amazon

Also I tried pressing the talk button on the steering wheel and it triggers sync not google assistant like I said before, if you want to use Google assistant you have to press the microphone on the screen

When going to the system overview it shows all the specifications. Android 8.1 T8 processor and 2GB Memory.

I have the same unit. I went in to to see what the ford emblem looked like, instead of the horse...BIG MISTAKE! I lost the horse. Do you know how reestablish it, by chance?

I have no idea, I try not to mess with it. But I have wrote to Seicane support, you might have to send a couple emails but they will respond about some technical issues. I would email them.

To all the owners of the 10.2, what's the update as far as reliability? I'm looking to pull the trigger on one and just plan on using it for music and GPS. No intentions on downloading all the extra apps, you guys still happy with it?

So far works as good as it always has. I want to get one of those android auto hookups next I think. I have a different launcher setup to make it more dash friendly and it works ok but the music selection experience could be better.

Nice how long have you had yours? I've grown into more of a bluetooth music person. I'm hoping this makes it simpler in terms of music selection experience. Do you have the seicane or px6?

My car is low mileage but I've had the system for almost a couple years I think. Mine was from eBay but was the exact same as the seicane at the time.
