So, after pages and pages of discussion, what is your explanation as to why anyone would be buying a GT500, CFTP or base? it's not just "Mustang fanboys" buying these cars. They might be a majority, but not the only ones.MSRP as tested 76k vs 94k.
Real world 65ish to 140ish is a real oof IMO.
Good read and I liked the review. If you want a manual dedicated track car the ZLE is the one to get. If you want the better all rounder and a DCT the CFTP is the one to get. But what a premium after whatever ADMs you have to pay if you want GT500 CFTP......
Strangely the more dedicated track car has rear seats still.
You and blaq on the other forum keep making the cost/performance arguments and even take it a step further by bringing "real world" costs to purchase into it. Making a blanket statement as to what someone is going to pay based on what you think they pay is a fool's proposition. Yes, is it more likely to get a car that is not in demand for a price lower than MSRP? Sure. Is a car in high demand going to command a price over MSRP? Also sure. It doesn't make someone buying a GT500 an idiot or fool for buying the vehicle they most desire.
I'd point out that blaq is an idiot for leasing his cars instead of purchasing them but if he wants to do it, that's his prerogative, Who am I to call him a fool?
