You'd still be missing the unique ABS and EPAS tuning of the PP2.

I’ve asked this in the Forscan thread and another separate thread, but know one has offered up any info...

Can’t the EPAS software be modified via Forscan to match that of the GT PP2?

As far as I know, all of the Mustang “racks” are the same physically, it’s just the software that adjusts the rack and it’s functional properties that are different, correct?

The same should be true regarding the ABS software properties.

As long as the hardware exists, once someone is able to tap those areas within the software logic, and then make the mods via Forscan, it’s an available change to all.

Even if I put a PP2 VIN into Ford Parts I get the same ABS Control Unit and Control modules as a regular GT. a "Shelby #2" is also listed as the same parts. So I'm wondering where the actual ABS tuning is done.

The Bullitt with M-9602-M suspension upgrade kit for Magnaride suspensions. Keep the amazing wheels / tires, and get the suspension tune from the PP2.
Great daily driver that is very track friendly.

My last performance car was a C6 Z06. I enjoy driving my 2019 PP 2 more.

I would bet those aren't nearly as noticeable to people as the Magneride changes. If they had this out before I bought my PP2 I probably would have done a Premium 10R80 PP1, Magneride, Active Exhaust and added the Magneride upgrade. My second set of wheels would have been SVE SP2's. Actually I probably would have sold the PP1 wheels. Maybe in a couple of years I'll be looking to trade out again :)

If a got a second s550, I've often thought it would be fun to have an a10 'vert with the PP2 package.

If you can get the Bullitt with Magneride you can upgrade to PP2 levels (or higher) of performance with this: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9602-M including tuning for the Magneride.
Even that won't give you the " Unique Track Inspired Chassis, Stability Control, EPAS, and ABS Tuning" parts of the PP2 package. As far as I know, the only way to get those at the GT level is by getting the PP2.

To me, what the PP2 offers is worth more than the Bullitt's extra HP even in street driving. PP2.

I think Forscan would have to have the ability to edit maps as well as just lines of code. And the maps themselves would need to be editable. I have no idea how heavily encrypted they'd be, but keep in mind that they are tied in to active safety features that need to be certified.

What other parts are different...not counting the computer controlled stuff?

Agreed. Cruising in normal mode is great on the street when I'm not worried about the best handling and it becomes awesome when you go into track mode and have some roads to enjoy some spirited driving.

I was mainly referring to the Magneride calibration, which apparently can be revised to PP2 calibration. Mechanically, isn't the Bullitt basically a PP1 car with a bit more power?

Even when you're not driving very hard, a car that ultimately has better handling can still feel better subjectively. The difference between PP1 and PP2 tire sizes and wheel widths alone should be noticeable at some point. Even if you were to test the two setups using the same tire mfr and model.

Yeah, so you could put the new spring/sways on and re-calibrate the Magneride and get very close to PP2 level. I just wouldn't pay the price of a Bullit in general.

The SC2 tires are not great on the street IMO so someone looking for a street car may not like driving the PP2 on certain roads (tramlining...). I swapped my SC2's right away to Hankook RS4's and getting second set (true square setup to rotate all 4) with RE71's for track for now. We'll see how I like the RE71's on track and I may switch back to using take off slicks at the track.
