I need new tires and I've seen several people selling pp1 2018/19 wheels & tires. Can anyone give me their opinion on them? I have stock Pirellis right now and they suck.

Thanks!

i really like the michelin pilot 4s.. they do get crappy when in cold weather but in warm weather they are great.
Agreed. I like them as well. Eventually they’ll get replaced when I upgrade wheels but for now they’re doing fine.

I’ve made about 10 passes on them on the track and they’re obviously not the best there but for street use they’ve been good.

+1 on probably the best street UHP summer tire. Just google reviews...…..and they perform well in the wet too....

Thanks for the replies. Can anyone elaborate on cold weather driving?

They are specifically NOT to be used in the winter. Pretty sure all of the literature out there (sales brochures etc) states summer use only. The rubber gets too hard when temperatures drop.

Any summer tire isn’t going to do well in the cold. You could make it work but you’d be much better off buying a set of all seasons for cold weather. Been there. Done all that. I used to drive my old GTO a long time in light snow with summer tires. Wouldn’t advise it. Cold weather you have to drive like a grandma too. They get hard and spin easy

This...Not recommended below 7C (45F), and there is an article that states not to be driven below 20F (-7C) as the rubber may crack.....Check the technical section...

Great tire but summer use only. Not a happy tire in cold weather and definitely not in snow.
My race shop recommended them for my damp track tires on my Cayman. That’s how good they are.

I got 5k miles on the ps4’s. Super comfy ride for summer tire. Any tire is not going to hook well in sub 50 degree air without a little heat. I have driven in 28-30 degree air with zero problems.

It's a great tire that came with the car but when it comes time to replacing it, I think the Firehawk's give them a great run for the lower cost. Plenty of reviews to back that up.

I'm still on my P Zeros (fronts are gone at 35k miles, on my third set of rears). They're garbage. They were garbage when new, they're garbage when old. I have a brand new set of PS4S in stock sizes in my garage, just waiting for the last cold day in South Carolina. I also have a Steeda Stop the Hop kit that's going in, probably next weekend, and since that requires an alignment, I'll probably get them installed next Sunday.

I just put Firestone Indy 500s on my wife's C300 AMG (not C43/C63), and they're fantastic. If I hadn't found a deal for take off PS4Ss for the same price as Indy 500s, I'd have gone with them.

I have been riding them for 3500 miles so far. I think it is a great tire, especially as a stock tire.
