Yes I have made contact with a few local members here and they're talking up camber plates already. I'm a Novice right now, though I did go solo on my second day. I'm not going to be going 9/10ths maybe even 8/10ths too soon yet.
It doesn't really matter too much. Putting handling benefits aside, at stock camber, you'll be riding on sidewals and get your tires destroyed much faster.

Iā€™ve been using the Firestone track hawks on mine. I have 660 rwhp and itā€™s been really good on grip. The zr tires I had wouldnā€™t grip at all.

Hi would love more input on your SuperCar3's. I'm running the PS4's that came with the GT but one or two more track days and they're done. The SuperCars look like a decent option and better price for track.
The SuperCar3ā€™s have been a great roadcourse tire that have a very good balance of grip/traction, wear, cost, and driver error (notice of slip/breaking free).

The Indy Firehawks that have been mentioned are more of a street tire.

On poke, here is a very common, affordable, and effective track setup (which I went with because everyone here recommended, for good reason).
For track, Iā€™m on 19x10 Apex SM10ā€™s (affordable, and 10 lbs lighter than stock) they are designed for the S550 Mustang and poke is not there (squared 285/35/19 SuperCar 3ā€™s). Pics below.
As others mentioned, camber plates (Iā€™m -2.7 and -3.0) are very much needed if you plan on hitting the track more than a couple times.

I currently have extended studs coming, and Iā€™ll be going 18x11 to run 315 wide track rubber next year (dedicated track car).

Super nice look, I could live with that setup. btw nice place with lots of garage... but OMG gravel driveway??
and oh yeah after getting some brake swap mentoring those stock wheels are heavy! Pretty but heavy.. ugh.

Yeah, the setup works great - itā€™s not full blown racecar tire sizes (300+) but the square 285 setup is a huge improvement over stock.

Thanks!! I know on gravel šŸ˜‘ When we built the place 6 years ago I thought the economy was going to flip and Iā€™d be able to lay down a driveway for cheaper than the $50K quote, now itā€™s $100k šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ itā€™s not a short trip to the paved road, unfortunately.

It does not look like a short trip, nice view though. So just play Foghat "Slow Ride" on your way out each day! Yep I'm liking that setup look, thanks.

My recommendation for square is 19x10 ~ET40, 275 or 285, 1/2" longer studs. Flush fitment, (barely) no clearance issues.

I'm running 9.5"/275 now and there is another 1/4" available until perfectly flush (implies 1/2" more wheel width).

Camber plates are a must. As my skill improves I will go to stickier tires instead of worrying about wider wheels and tires. A little slip angle is what is fun for me!

Michelin is still the king in my book. Of course some Mickey Thompson drag radials might be great if you don`t see a lot of rain šŸ˜‚
Every time I go non Michelin . I am seldom happy with the results. The Continentals would be my second choice.
