On long trips I put a full size spare tire in the trunk. When I got my tires replaced I kept 1 tire as a spare. It isn't a full spare setup but at least I have the right tire that can be mounted on the rim by a mobile unit or 24 hour tire service.

Anyway, what you now have is the ability to change a tire in +/- 10 minutes. One more thing ... I would suggest also packing a couple of clean, large, HD plastic bags so you have options as to where to put that dead tire back into the Mustang. And don't think of the HF jack & impact as 'travel only' items. They are handy for doing basic DIY automotive maintenance.
