Since the PP1 cars do not come with a spare has anyone found a generic wheel/tire combo that would fit
on the car and in the spare tire location in the trunk instead of the pump/fix a flat combo?

Automotive authority sells one. It's pricey but worked great the one time I needed it.

Just checked it out and seems perfect. How do you like yours and has anyone else on the board used or have it? how do you keep the jack from bouncing around?

I have the Automotive Authority kit, definitely pricey but I feel it’s worth it. I would much rather be back on the road in twenty minutes. My jack fits in snug and doesn’t rattle. The tire is very snug I put some armor all on the well and shoved it into place. Its worth the peace of mind.

I watched a video of a guy installing the spare kit and it looked like he put the jack in first and something screwed on and kept it tight, then he installed the wheel over the jack and used the stock piece from the air pump kit to keep it in place? Not sure what he used to keep the jack tight?

Price does not seem "that" bad IMO considering the cost of a flat bed tow or using your stock air pump fix a flat BS which requires a new tire and valve stem and most likely a new tire sensor since i think everything ends up junk but the rim after using it?

I also came across a spare tire kit on the jungle store that says it will work but it has a spacer included for the front? Dose the Automotive Authority come or need a spacer?

Just got mine today. I configured the jack like it would be stock. The tire pins the jack down, i just have a piece of cardboard between them and then the stock cup holds the whole thing down.

Does the wheel use the stock lug nuts?

Yup. The wrench…works. It’s your typical low cost spare tire wrench. Probably worth while to have a proper breaker bar with the appropriate socket stored someplace.

Anyone know off hand what size socket is needed for the factory lug nuts?
