Finally got around to prepping and painting the engine cover to match the coil covers. I’ll add the black stripe to the cover tomorrow and rivet the two parts together.

Done.

Took her on a spirited drive with some friends. We ended up in Mexico and I can confirm the top speed of the 18 is 155 mph. Allegedly.

I can certainly confirm the suspension mods are awesome. The German boys were not getting away from the Mustang on the sweeping corners with a suggested speed of 45 mph and lets just say they were taken at speeds well above that. Is she going to run away from them, nope, but she is a very capable car and perfectly at home taking corners at speed.

All of the Steeda goodies have paid off. They were impressed with how well the car handles now.

So I finally dynode the car today. Not necessarily the best conditions (81.61°F and 31% Humidity). Results are 268.16 HP and 268.19 torque. See attached graph.

Now this is with the stock intake manifold (need to finish porting my intake) and I think I am running a little rich...so a data-log and tune revision is needed.

Not complaining, for a naturally aspirated v6, i'm please...but I think some refinement is needed.

Not bad! Think there is a bit more left in it though so you might be right about a tune revision. My experience was that a lot of tinkering was required to get the GT throttle body acting right with the rest of the vehicle. I’m thinking numbers in the mid 270s and on a good day low 280s are possible with what you have. With ported intakes and high flow cats mid to high 290s.

zackmd1, what type of tinkering? What did you have to send MPT to have them work with you on it? Be aware, I am running the 91PRX tune since we don't have 93 out here in CA...so I can only imagine what the numbers would be if we had 93 octane.

However, I will reiterate that we stopped short of redline (7k) because we were unsure if MPT disabled the rev and speed limiters...we also ran it in 4th gear (think we should have run 5th).

Once I finish porting my intake manifolds and install them, buy another tune from MPT...another dyno run will be attempted.

As for high flow cats...not sure about that out here...those will only happen once the stock cats go bad.

Hard to explain really as I never got it 100% but I had MPT tweak the tune a few times to adjust for the additional airflow from the GT tb. I would suggest waiting tell the intake manifold install like you are planning and then data log a few times including on the dyno so MPT has as much as possible to work from.

Just saw you are in California as well... I’m sorry.... haha

A pair of lethal performance mid pipes and high flow cats would go a long way.

zackmd1 I have to see what high-flow cats are legal in CA (probably next to none). As for my mid-pipes, not needed in my case since I have a high-flow x-pipe and not much else can be done to improve flow (unless I get rid of the mufflers)...but I love my exhaust system as it is...so no touchy

The really stupid thing is I did not bring my tuner with me when I had the car dynode (this was at a car show and it was spur of the moment)...wish I did so the run could have been data-logged

what size wheels and tires?

what brand wheels?

They are the Verde V99 Axis wheels. 20x9 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear.
Tires are Mickey Thompson Street Comps, 255/35/20 in front and 305/35/20 in rear. I really wanna go up to 275s in the front.

Almost done prepping the first Roush heat extractor. Getting the black texture off is a PITA. My mini DA’s just burn through the texture and gum it up. Hand sanding these sucks and not sure I’d do it again.
