As everyone who has an Ngauge knows, it’s hard to see at certain angles and different lighting conditions. Your only available mounting choices force you to either give up an ac vent or have it stuck on your windshield. Now there’s another option! I’m on the last leg of a prototype which houses the Ngauge centered on your steering wheel column so you can see it clearly and tuck your wires away cleanly under the dash. I will have actual in car mounted pictures in the next few days, but here’s a cad pic of what it will look like. If there’s enough interest, I will hold a group buy on them.

So it'll kind of be a modern take on the old school Sun tach from back in the day? Interesting. I'm interested in seeing the in car pictures.

Awesome idea.

Will it cover the center screen?

Thanks for the feedback fellas! I’ve always had steering column gauge pods in all of my boosted cars as I think it’s the cleanest way to mount gauges. This ones a bit different since the face is so much larger than the body, but it still seemed to work out fine.

The Ngauge should fit perfectly between the oem mph and rpm gauges, but low enough to see the center gauge info.

I should have some in car pics today or tomorrow for everyone to see exactly how it looks and fits

Hopefully it doesn't block too much, some guy made one similar to this on a facebook group and it blocked a big chunk of his speedometer, most people thought it was pretty dumb. But this being right in the center looks like it could avoid that, I like it!

I made a custom steering mount for a boost gauge in my Evo X with the pod mounted at 2 O'clock. It worked very well and didn't block too much.

Interesting, since nothing else out there is of interest to me, and I'm not keen on giving up a vent.

You'll sell a ton of them if you can perfectly match the OEM plastic.

exactly, if it matches factory interior plastic color I have a feeling these will sell like great! Makes me want to spend the money on getting an Ngauage just to have it! :D

I got the gauge pod in the car and mounted! So like I thought it sits right in between the speedometer and tach so you can see them clearly, but unfourtunatly it does block the center display. I guess you can look around it if you want to see, but all important info will be displayed on the Ngauge anyway. Also it matches the factory trim perfectly

Pricing isn’t set yet, but it will come in around $100. They should be available to order soon!
