  1. This is the brand new 2021 Mustang Mach-1

I like it overall. Digging the use of Shelby parts and the better manual transmission. Slightly underwhelmed by the reused Bullitt engine, though. How cool would it have been if they tossed the Cobra Jet manifold on it with a unique hood to clear it? A factory Cobra Jet Mach 1 for the first time...
  2. Has anybody created functional rear side scoops?

I don't believe anybody makes functional side scoops for the S550. That requires cutting holes in the quarter panel, running ducting, and fastening the scoop to the car in semi-permanent fashion. I strongly doubt anybody would be willing to commit to that given how much of a pain it would to be...
  3. 18+ Shaker Hood soon available.

We're on the same wavelength. I installed a GT/CS grille earlier this year and topped it off with an offset tribar emblem from a 1969. I was initially going to use my car to pay homage to the 67 Shelbys, but after some thought its tough to pull off with both a GT350 and GT500 in dealerships by...
  4. 18+ Shaker Hood soon available.

If that's the case, it definitely loses some brownie points. I can see the taller manifolds like the Cobra Jet or Boss intakes not working with it, but not being able to use an 18 (on a 2015-17 that is) or a GT350 intake would be a major bummer. As for superchargers, I guess you could still run...
  5. 18+ Shaker Hood soon available.

I'm really skeptical that this is going to be functional in any really meaningful way. If anything, I've heard that ram air set ups can cause MAF sensor issues that you have to work around. Might be conjecture. I know Jonathan Ward of Icon has mentioned many times that they had issues with their...
  6. Mach 1 trademark filed by Ford....again!

While a hybrid 5.0 will be awesome in the performance department (apparently the next gen Hellcat will be similar in approach), Mach 1 was always the old school muscle car trim to me, like the Boss 302 was the stripped down track special, which Ford stayed true to in 2012-13. Though, out of all...
  7. Mach 1 trademark filed by Ford....again!

I really don't think the shaker looks hood on the 2018+ stock hood, nor do I think it'd look much better on the 2015-17. When you have something like that, it should be the focal point of the hood, and it being flanked by vents and character lines makes for a very busy hood environment...
  8. Mach 1 fail or sucess?

No problem. I'm sure they'll announce something soon if it's coming to market. I'm mostly curious as to if it'll require a new hood and if that comes with it or not. The 2015-17 stock hood would probably look really strange with a shaker poking through it.
  9. Mach 1 fail or sucess?

Interesting. Got a link to the CDC shaker by any chance? I wasn't able to find anything using Google or on CDC's website. I'd be very interested to see what an S550 shaker kit would look like.
  10. Would you pick the same color . . .

Lightning Blue was one of the main reasons for me finally biting the bullet and buying a new Mustang. I didn't like Deep Impact Blue, but I've always had my heart set on a blue Mustang, and once I saw Lightning Blue in person that was it for me. Grabber Blue was too loud for a daily driver for...
  11. I know it's New Edge sn95 but

Literally the only New Edge that does anything for me. I'm not terribly fond of the SN95 as a whole, mainly because I was in high school when they were new and they had the reputation of being either a chick's car (in V6 convertible form) or as a jock douchebag car (GT, Cobra if daddy had more...
  12. Mach 1 fail or sucess?

https://carrollshelbywheels.com/product/cs-69 Sorry I'm months late with this, but I figured you might like this. I just installed a set of CS70s on my car. I got them during a Black Friday sale, back when I was leaning more towards a 67 Shelby tribute. In retrospect, a set of CS69s would have...
  13. My Mach 1 tribute car

Thank you. Couple of small details to note. The GT/CS grille has three holes in the driver's side block off plate for the factory tribar. I opted to plug these up with small plastic caps. It's a small detail, but I like stuff to have that finished look. The tribar itself is a Scott Drake...
  14. Cue Ball Shifter

I know what you mean. My old Camaro SS has a Hurst with the old style ball and that's the best feeling shifter in my book. I bought a Hurst branded knob for my Mustang and its massive. I have another ball awaiting a swap that's of a smaller diameter (probably similar to the Bullitt size), but...
  15. My Mach 1 tribute car

Nice. That's the grill I went with. I saw JPjr used a 69 emblem on his GT350 front end converted car and liked the look of it, so I tried it on mine. Really pleased with it. Installed a GT/CS splitter, and I love it. Also installed some gloss black foglight splitters while I was at it. Much...
  16. We need a nice clean 307 badge

This scenario kind of reminds me of the Chevy 396. In 1970, they punched up the 396 to 402, but they figured that 396 still had a catchier ring to it so they continued to market it as a 396, despite being able to boast of 6 more cubic inches in an era defined by "no replacement for...
  17. All right help on badges and emblem

Well, there was a very limited Shelby American trim available for later S197s called the GT/SC. In that case, the "SC" stood for "supercharged". It was basically a Shelby GT with a supercharger. They'd have "GT/SC" on the rocker stripe, just behind the front wheel. They're post-title cars, which...
  18. I live in NOLA and have to replace my windshield every time I sneeze (5th one)

The OEM glass on these cars is just terrible. Extremely thin and brittle. I had to replace my windshield within a month of buying my car, and a year later I had to get a chip repaired. I've had countless tiny chips appear in the last two years from minor pebbles that I know my older vehicles...
  19. Did you change your grille?

Just installed a GT/CS grille with a 1969 emblem. Love how it turned out.
  20. All right help on badges and emblem

And to answer your question, people do swap emblems all the time. For example, my car came with the Black Accent package, which includes a black pony centered on the honeycomb front grille, black "5.0" fender badges with a red ".", and a black "GT" on the rear decklid. I swapped the black GT...
