You guys should swap to F150 cams too, turn your 435hp engine into a 365hp one! Get a tune to lower the limiters to 5k, this is Merica, we don't need no revs here.

Interesting stuff. Sub'd because I love the oddball stuff.

I'll bet a good tuner optimizing the VCT could net stock upper RPM power and keep (or better) the bottom end. Especially with a little blending in the ports and TB opening.

I assume the initial testing was done with a GT throttle body?

VCT is not going to fix that.

Is there a difference between a 2014 F150 manifold and a 2016 manifold?
I'm guessing so as the 2014 manifold costs $111, and the 2016 costs $321.

Any details on the differences?
I was curious about this also, to see if there was anything better (or worse). The experts indicate that the huge increase in runner length only occurs in the my15 F150 one (direct comparison of the s550, s197, and my14 F150, which have more of less the same runner length).

The other difference between the my15 and my14 intake manifolds (F150 and GT) is that the my14's are one piece construction, which I don't think it's a functional advantage, possibly is more expensive to make.

Hell yeah, more towing capacity!

Or maybe we should put an LS motor in it and change the body to a Corvette's?

Car has no nuts on the bottom. It's, for me anyway, blisteringly frustrating when V8 cars that do can yank me coming out of a turn and I have to wait and wait and wait (it feels like) for the car to get into the power band to start making some progress. Had instructors familiar with big power cars on track say the same thing - "Why is this car not moving?" "You should be able to stay in 3rd gear here but seems like you should drop a gear." So on, so forth. One guy said that he thought my car handled great but he can't stand the engine. I cried a little... alone, in a port-a-potty... while I pooped hovering over the hole. ;)

Worth giving it a try. For a drag car, I would not be at all bothering with this.

Keep the revs higher then. If that's what you want, buy a SRT product, torque for days. Its like buying a civic si and complaining about the power below 6k and wanting to take away vtec, it just doesn't make any sense.

Isn't that what happened to the Si? Got turbo'ed for more bottom range torque and no more vtec.

Anyone running this F-150 setup with Mishi Tube, K&N drop in, Cams, Long Tubes, and E85? I m guessing on a pp equipped car swapping to 3.31 gears might go well with that kind of a setup!

It's possible I may try this with the Mishi Tube and aFE filter. For the price it's not a big loss if I don't like it.

For under $100 it would be an interesting experiment....I'm tempted to buy one and throw it on the shelf for down the road.

Yes there are big differences. The biggest one being the IMCV (intake motion control valves) on the 2015+ F150 intakes.

same for me in city driving. its annoying having to drop gears constantly to pass minivans and camrys.

Correction, they are Charge Motion Control Valves. Close enough though ;)
