I installed mine and I definitely can tell difference in various bumps. Overall good improvement. One questions I have is that I hear occasional popping noise. Not all the time but from time to time especially more on low speed that is coming from the shock mount that transmits through the chassis. Not a loud pop but pronounce. I checked the torque on the mount nut and it is tight. Is that just a noise that is caused when replacing a bushing with a spherical bearing?

Thanks in advance!

Same thing happened to me. I had to replace one of the mounts to make it stop. The guys at Steeda were super helpful with getting it resolved.

TJ, what are others using for caps to cover the top of the Steeda Adjustable Shocks with the 12mm billet mounts? Mine are starting to get some surface rust and I'd like to prevent that. My stock ones wouldn't fit properly

I use these 8mm Vacuum caps http://www.ebay.com/itm/x10-AROSPEE...ash=item3aaef1956b:g:wQcAAOSwu4BVu69H&vxp=mtr I found on eBay. They work really well. They fit tight over the adjuster just like front caps that Steeda provides with Adjustable Shocks & struts. I am not sure why Steeda doesn't provide them for the rear shocks also.

Are these for the shocks or the struts? The struts use a larger size than the shocks. The struts are supplied with dust covers. But the shocks do not come with dust covers. So why aren't the shocks supplied with dust covers? Also if you use the Steeda 12mm billet shock mounts the stock dust covers won't work on the mounts because the counter-bore diameter for the retaining nut is the wrong size. This leaves the customer without dust covers for the shocks.

Yes, they are for both.

We don’t see the need for them unless a customer lives in horrendous living conditions

We run dust boots (not to be confused with dust covers) on all our cars with no issues and they all have billet shock mounts.

Ron, give us a call tomorrow if we can help clear-up any confusion.

Best Regards,

TJ

Thanks for figuring this out guys, guess I'll order some from EBay. If they already have surface rust after a month or two while daily driving in Houston I believe caps/boots/covers should be included.
