And here Road & Track is saying the accord v6 coupe with the manual is the car to have!:

I'd rather have my 'Stang!
Who cares how fast something is if it doesn't look good. You ever heard the saying a polished turd is still a turd? It's true.

Oh your 2000 Honda Civic has 5000 hp and it can fly? Good luck getting a girlfriend or good luck having your wife ride in it.

Mustang>Accord any day. Looks better, inside and out.

This is the exact car I had before my V6 mustang. 2014 EX-L with (terrible) navigation. The car sounded really good and definitely was quick, actually feeling quicker (likely due to shorter gearing, lower weight, less drivetrain loss), was a tad bit quieter, and was a little more practical but that's were the accord advantages ran out, at least to me.

V6 Mustang gets the same gas mileage and same insurance rate, RWD, handles much better, brakes much better, riders better, has more comfortable seats, a nicer interior design, just looks awesome. The base stereo in our cars sounds much better than the "premium" one in the accord and their head unit looks and functions like it came out of the early 2000's (and is pretty difficult to modify). It only cost me about $2k to make the switch from the accord with 36k miles on it to the mustang with 18k miles on it and I'm so happy I did.

I love my V6 and I'm very satisfied with the performance. 0-60 best time was 5.4 with Auto using the paddles. The car looks and sounds great and will only get better as I add a few more things. Its much faster than my Fox GT and LX 5.0 ever were and the car's interior needs only a few tweaks to get it exactly how I want it. I don't have "V8 envy" in the sense its not fast enough. I would someday like to get another Mustang with the V8 because I know that engine will be going away or be very different in a few years- so its something on my list, but I would get that in addition to this one.

That's what I say every day...Not!
The EB's engine will send it to its own grave.

"Only" 300hp? Oh lawd how times have changed. My V6 had something like 190HP from the factory.
I didn't think I'd have to explain this... but that was a joke. Corvettes used to "only" have 300hp.

I haven't raced anything with my EB and nobody seems to want to try either, I'd imagine its the same with the V6. People just want to look at it because it looks amazing.

People don't buy a V6 for performance, they buy it to get into a Mustang. The V6 is a good all-around engine, with decent throttle response and cheap insurance. But it is not a performance stang.

And no, the v6 Mustang is not going to beat any bmw, unless it is 10+years old.

There's a fine line when it comes to the nuances of humor when one only has words to go by. Thank you for breaking it down for me, and you did it elegantly without mentioning I remind you of a girl. Lol

I agree, not too many people want to race me either. Your insight that they're enjoying our rolling pieces of art rings true to me. I love seeing other S550's on the road!

Well, you could also buy the v6 because it's the lightest S550, and work on making it faster with a tune, intake and exhaust. If you swapped out the iron manifold for a stainless header, you'd lose even more weight while adding power.

Plus our engines are Sweet! They're way over built!

Yeah I maybe should have put one of the smileys on or something haha. Honestly the V6 model seems to be about as rare as hens teeth, I've never actually seen one, although I guess I can count on my fingers how many S550's I've seen in the wild anyways.

I went with the EB because it was available on the spot, the price was good, and they were giving me WAY more for my trade than I expected to get (also I knew what to expect with the motor coming from a Mazdaspeed3). At the time I bought mine I couldn't find a GT for under 40 grand and I didn't want to spend that much.

I see a fair amount of v6's and EB's on my commute. The v6's are usually driven by middle age women. EB's by younger guys in their 20's.

The GT's I see are driven by Men.

Here are some articles to back up the fact that the 3.7 V-6 S550 is the 2nd coolest mustang after the GT350, but then one could bring up price...:

....so in review, anyone who owns the s550 V-6 has the same car as the Ego-boost and the 5.0, but at less cost. We don't have to worry about dumping out our catch-cans, or purchasing a new fuel rail out of warranty, we pay less money for insurance, and our cars have speed density not MAF, our cars are rated with 87, but with 92, our computers can advance timing, and with a tune, we can have our red lines back to 7,000 rpm's, where it was in the previous generation before fuel cut.

I took Ford's 60 month warranty on my OEM Goodyear tires (at least for the fronts:-)) and got Michelin Pilot Sport S3+ This is my daily driver, and she puts a smile on my face every day.
Bud, you forgot the /s at the end of your post. :headbonk:

True, and you have to use Premium to get the advertised HP.

You can always trade to get a V6, they are hella cheap (cheaper than EB) but of course you will lose out on all the interior goodies, and it may not be a good financial decision. if you are going to trade, might as well trade up to a GT.

As for the sound, you have a point. The V6 does sound great especially with aftermarket exhaust, hell I liked the stock V6 sound.

But EB is the future so good to stick with it as long as you can.
I don't care for the interior much, what I do care about are the 3.55 gears on a manual 051a pack V6 which is no longer offered so if I were to trade in for a V6 I'd have to look for a used one.

As for trading for a GT.. I got GT money, what I don't have is GT insurance money, my premium on my EB is ridiculously high as is a GT is literally double what I'm paying now which is why I got the EB in the first place Lol.. so a GT is out of the question until insurance rates magically drop.. some one mentioned something about Florida getting rid of it's No Fault status, maybe that'll help but I'm not holding my breath.

I have some positive equity in my car but I'm still thinking of waiting until tax time next year which is around the same time I get my annual bonus and I'll see where my insurance is at.. if doable I'd get a GT, otherwise either a used low mileage 051a V6 manual or a well equipped mid size sedan.. the ecoboost just doesn't do it for me, I gave it a chance, not my thing it turns out. Lol.

My buddies who have civics have no issues with girls. One of my best friends has a civic. Funny you say a polished turd is still a turd, that's what he calls a v6 stang.
Oh, I'm sorry, did I hurt your feelings? I guess you didn't understand my comment. The stigma behind 90s and 2000s Civics is idiots drive them and mod them. I mean you know it's a POS when you use PVC pipe for intercooler pipes on your makeshift turbo kit.

But because you got defensive, Civics and Mustangs are in different leagues man. Even a v6 Mustang would have no qualms about whoopin that @$$.

A v6 honda keeping up with an RS, STI, and Golf? Hahah. That's a bit over selling it, but maybe only by a car length or two which is a lot on the track but little on the road.
