Omg it hasn't died yet. The site should sell thread locks to anyone for 25$ a pop. 25$ gets you the ability to lock any one thread you wish and it's good revenue for the site.

50$ buys you an unlock so if you need to exercise your dick beaters you can continue to give yourself the "my shit is better than your shit" circle jerk.

I'd gladly pay 25$ to lock this shit up for good!

Do u happen to drive a auto lol
Here is my take on the whole ordeal, ive bought and sold over 100 mustangs since 2004 and most were used, never bought a 4 or 6 gt only. But depending on the price i would look at how well the car was taken care of, if it had an auto in it usually it was a convertible but if it was auto and i got a good deal on it i drove it and liked driving it because i like any v8 mustang, ive bought 3 new mustangs off the lot and i chose manual in each because like others it helps keep the man machine aspect from letting you get bored of it. But i will say the autos are nice cruiser. I guess the point im trying to make is each trans has its good and bad. But the thing more importantly to make sure you get is that it has a v8, oh and no ls 4cyl swap foxs thats blasphemy! The reason i say that is i was in to trading and selling them for a while, and you will get 3x more for a gt than any 4 or 6. I just wish i had the trans the gt350 has in my 16 pp gt.

Currently we have 6 cars at our house. 4 are manuals. The lone CVT is what my wife drivers. The CVT is a Forester XT. My mother drives a 15 Escape Automatic. The manual's are my 17 GT350, my 16 Hellcat, my son's 15 Cruze and our 93 Corvette. When my son was looking for his first new car, he would not consider anything that did not have a manual. He learned to drive at 14 (private roads) on my manual C6.

So yea, I like manuals better than autos for me personally.

I've been driving for over 50 years now. I've driven pretty much every type of engine/transmission combo there is: 4, 6, 8 cylinders, rotary engines, cars, trucks, rwd/fwd/awd/4WD, 3/4/5/6 spd manuals & all kinds of autos. The only thing I haven't owned is an electric or hybrid.

I found that lately not only had I become bored of driving, I was actually becoming detached from it! You ever get somewhere and have no idea how you got there? That was me! And it was starting to scare me.

So when it was time for (another) new car, I decided to get one that would pull me back into the complete involvement and sheer joy of driving: a manual tranny v8. Best decision I ever made. I just LOVE this car!

Automatic never even crossed my mind

For some reason I never even thought about getting an automatic when I purchased the Mustang. As a matter of fact my son just got his license and told him his first car was going to be a manual. So we ended up getting him a Civic SI 6Spd and he loves it.

Manual driving is just such a great skill to have. Also, a much less chance of messing around on a phone while driving too. I feel like a much more alert and attentive driver on a manual. Plus, that V8 sound with a manual is just heaven.

To each their own.

Myself If I was buying my Mustang as a daily driver then I might have look at the automatic. Probably still would have gone manual, but I would have looked closer. As is, I'm the first to admit I bought my Mustang to have fun. For me the fun is being a participant in that 1/4 mile. With the automatic seems to me you just put the pedal to the floor and hold on leaving everything up to the car. I like being more involved with the end results. Being more of a participant instead of just along for the ride. If I miss a gear, it can cost me. If I hone my skill to get those RPM's right and a good fast shift with no misses, then not only can I give credit to my car, but to myself in a job well done.

Exactly. I remember when a friend's dad bought his sister a brand new Mustang GT Convertible when she graduated high school in the 90s. It was an automatic.

I have a manual in my car and it has a crappy feeling shifter and clutch set-up. I know they can be improved by the aftermarket, but I would go with the new auto. However, that would depend on how the new transmission holds up in real world usage. I wouldn't want it if it is found to have trouble with selecting and holding the right dear for instance.

AVIS and Hertz are the reason automatic transmissions entered the Mustang.
We at Hertz truly apologize for this. From a recent poll taken it was stated that over 97% of our customers are not experienced in driving a Manual Transmission vehicle therefore to survive as a business we must adapt to the needs of the general population. We also understand that the new generation of drivers will never have driven a Manual vehicle in their lifetime which gives our company even more reason to not rent out Manual vehicles. But MT is hella fun though i'll be honest with that sh*t.
