Would a 87mm Throttle Body be worth the upgrade on my 2015 GT, and what else would you suggest I'd need to complete the upgrade. Looking to up my TQ.
Curretly have long tubes, exhaust cutouts, Airaid CAI and SCT X4 tuner.
Thanks
Still trying to decide if I'll even stick with Ford. Ford and my local Ford dealer screwed me over as far as I'm concerned.
I've been a Ford fanatic since I got my first car at 16. A 1964.5 Mustang Convertible with K code 289 HIPO, T-10 4 spd. I've had well over 20 mustangs since then. Fast...
Tunes can be hard to interpret. I dyno'd my pure stock 2015 GT and got 376/362. Put on Long Tube headers, exhaust cutouts and an Airaid CAI. Then I dyno'd at 402/367. Bought a SCT X4 tuner and had AED do a custom tune from my data log. I now run a slower 1/4 mile than before when I was pure...
I have to agree that I've seen a marked performance increase with miles. I know quicker times can be attributed some to getting more proficient with the car, but I noticed a readable improvement is track times that can't all be written off as getting more familiar with the car.
I think, with...
Just as a guestiment, what do you think the top end speed would be for my 2015 GT with 3.31 manual and SCT Performance tune that removed the limiter?
Thanks
I went and looked over a new Dodge Challenger 6.4L HEMI w/shaker last Saturday. MSRP price $32,000 not sure the DMU. I've lost my respect for Ford after screwing me big time on my 2015's clutch.
Ah but the more it get's used the quicker it depreciates.
Like a fine guitar. I'll pay good money and let it sit and play it very seldom. When I go to sell it because it is in pristine condition the value is much higher.
I buy a player condition guitar to trash and not worry about the...
Took Crazy Horse, my 2015 Mustang GT, and Cherry Pie, my 1964.5 convertible Mustang, to the 2 annual VVV ( Vittles for Veterans) car show and Crazy Horse won a trophy. It is 2nd place but we were told I tied for first with the other guy, he had a 2009 custom Challenger, so they drew names out of...
Took both my ponies to the 2nd annual VVV Vittles for Veteran's benefit car show yesterday. Had a great time and walked away with a trophy. We were told that me and another guy, with a custom Challenger, tied for first so our names were put and a hat and they drew the winner. I was happy and...
The dealer drove it before I got it, but since then just me and the Ford Mechanic as far as I know. Not too happy with a car that has only 6000 miles and has had to have 5th gear synchronizer replaced and now an exploded clutch.
I started the same way and soon found myself crossing the upgrades line.
I did fine against the average SRT8 & SS but I wanted to give myself just a little more just in case, but not so much as to need to start upgrading drive line shafts, clutch etc. I added long tube headers, electric...
The big difference in what you're used to and the Mustang is the feel.
As far as PP vs Non-PP. If you drive a lot of winding roads/track then PP, otherwise if you do more straight line save some weight and money and go Non-PP.
