I just picked it up and their initial assessment was partially wrong. Apparently the hub was bad and the 3 tabbed ring on the axle was causing an interference issue. The part he described can be found in this thread...
I just got off the phone with the dealer and they have said wheel bearing has gone out as well as the speed sensor. They are going to warranty the hub, but said it will be $130 to cover the sensor and and hour of reprogramming time for the ABS system.
Apparently there is a glitch that can...
I am surprised we are all stumped! :)
I am gonna check for wiring/fuse issues tonight and I don't find anything there will give up and pass it off to the dealership (i am not a fan of the local dealer).
Limp mode is really frustrating....and it doesn't seem to be anything consistent that...
I took it back out for a ride in engineering mode to see if I got any additional errors. The ride seemed to start out ok. I only had the check engine light on at first. By the time I got to the highway it threw code c41500 in as current instead of just history. When the wrench icon come on a...
I ran through all the threads I could find on both issues, but none seemed to combine them into one. Either way, I was out driving in light traffic when every light on the dash came on, service advance track popped up followed by hill start assist disabled. I stopped at a gas station a block...
I just noticed this smell yesterday....no obvious leaking fluids and I just ran out of bumper to bumper warranty. It seems to happen when i have the heater on with the blower at low. It doesn't smell any stronger with blower on full. The belts don't seem to be getting toasty either.
I have a foam cannon. I believed the hype at first. Sure it may help encapsulate dirt and protect your paint from swirls, but it sure isn't the end all be all that they make it out to be. I can get a car just as clean faster and without any more risk of marring with 2 buckets and grit guards...
Maybe I missed it, but what is the price point for this thing installed? I would love to have one, but I doubt the idiot that built my house used strong enough concrete to support one.
2 post lifts make me very nervous, but I would still love to have one.
It looks like this one gets you...
They didnt fuck mine quite so hard, but they did manage to set the window so that it didn't go up all the way. Luckily I caught it when I washed the car and not in the huge storm a couple of days later.
They did the light switch panel rattle TSB at the same time and didnt really kill the noise...
I have a couple of Graco Seats as well. It is a bit hard to get everything strapped in tight, but it does work. If the seats are rear facing your significant other will have to have the seat on the very front rails.
My old Datsun 240z barely had frame rails at all, but they could support the weight without any deformation. I only swap out wheels once a year and change my oil when the car tells me to. So jack stands on the pinch weld while jacking from the rails works well for me.
My F'in dealership told me the brake warranty only goes to 10k miles. If I wanted them to look at them, I would have to pay for parts and diagnosis.
I told them to pound sand as it would be cheaper and easier for me just to get new ceramic pads.
The simple answer is yes. However, you may have different handling characteristics. I have seen cars with no matching tires. Though they were usually cheaper than two Mustang car payments.
