I'll be running Steeda's new highest rate springs (the dual rate model) very soon. I'll let ya'll know if I think I need more than whatever their wheel rate ends up at "on the track". I don't think these cars need super high spring rates - they certainly need a diet... 
Speaking of BMWs, I notice when they take a sharp right turn, the body of the vehicle almost sort of pivots or angles with the downward most point at the inside front wheel. Where as, in the Mustang, when you do the same turn, the body seems to push UPWARD at the inside front wheel. I don't know what suspension geometry makes that difference, but I wonder if something could be done there to improve handling in these cars? I'm just spitballing here because I just noticed this the other day with a neighbor's 335is - the way it acted in a sharp left/right turn is much different.
