I'm looking at beaters right now too, I got rid of my truck in the summer and I don't think I want all the salt on the car when it gets to be snow time. I've driven my car for about 3 weeks total and already have 5000 miles on it :(
What wheels are those?>
No worries. 100k isn't the end of the road for modern engines.Driving the mustang much too often. Work and fun have equaled to 60k miles in almost exactly 2 years. 10/11/14 purchase date. No complaints. LMR tune sine 30k. Impressed how car has held up. No real mechanical problems and after taking it to dealer at 60k when they cleaned out the fuel injection system, the car is running best it ever has. Just have to drive my other car more. No hurry to get to 100k.
Agreed. I take it to dealer every 5000 miles for oil change and whatever else. Full synthetic, royal purple. I hope eventual buyer appreciates maintenance but I need to drive it less.30k a year! Now that's driving that thing. It's maintenance not mileage that matters the most.
I didn't really notice any problems but I sure noticed the difference after they cleaned out the system. When I first picked it up it was sputtering a little getting rid of dirty fuel I was told. Then after a couple of miles started running smooth with quick throttle response. So there was clogging. You said you got fuel system cleaned? With the EB and the carbon buildup did you notice any problems as you got up in the miles? And how exactly did they clean it out and how much did you pay?
They will, but don't rely on dealer maintenance records. Keep your own records. I kept a binder on every car I've ever owned and include it with the vehicle when I trade it in. Sometimes it makes a difference, other times not so much but even if it doesn't it's a record that stays with the car.Agreed. I take it to dealer every 5000 miles for oil change and whatever else. Full synthetic, royal purple. I hope eventual buyer appreciates maintenance but I need to drive it less.
