finally did it - today! did some errands and noticed 995 miles so i went for a country-drive and let her loose a little. got up to 85mph frequently, maybe touched 90. stop and start, 6 or 6.5k shifts, very nice. man i really enjoy this car. (posted over in tranny area) the shifts when everything is warmed up are amazing. the car pulls and pulls and everything happens so fast... living about 3k for a while really changes your perspective. so this compared to my '13 non-track pack GT, world of difference. although i wonder how the track pack would have felt on the '13... i wonder if it'd be similar?

letting off the throttle is responsive, it's tight, feels light, i swear there is better feedback from the front tires (snow right now), smooth, it just feels more flickable overall. it's a rocket. 15 extra hp? gearing? probably both. performance pack was well worth it!

anyway, love it. oil change next weekend to full synth...

only weird thing i've noticed a few times is a rattling sound from somewhere in the middle - happened a few times early on when on the gass reving up to 4k, then it went away, then today on my country-drive it came back about half the time on the 6k shifts. almost like a gauge is rattling.

Congrats on finally letting her loose!! This engine just loves to rev. As for the rattles, pretty normal stuff. Lots of stuff on the forums on some potential fixes. Good luck!

after 150 miles i did bring it up to 5k - 5.5k but usually only on weekends when i had time to do a 30 min drive. oh and a few times over lunch breaks i've gone for 30-40min drives with at least 4k. there was a great thread, i read after all this, that talked about enough pressure to seat the rings and it was good to do like 10 runs up to high rpm then engine-brake down.

i'm pretty sure i'm good with the way i did it though, time will tell if i burn a lot of oil i guess.

Congrats. Coming from an 08 base model charger, doing all of that was a must in the first two weeks lol.
