A procharger GT350 will be over 750hp. Case closed.
How? That's a non factory time bomb that will turn its back on what it was made for, track duty.

Well, the GT500 had the same brakes as the ZL1 with a hell of a lot more actual power. So it had another 8mph or something stupid at the end of the main straights to bleed off for the corner. Oh wait, even more than that since it lacked enough tire and was slightly slower in the corners.
The GT500 absolutely did not have the same brakes as the ZL1. The ZL1 had 6 pot 14.5" rotors front, 4 pot 14" or somewhere around there in size. The GT500 had 6 pot 15" rotors front and 1 piston sliders with 13" rotors. And it's not just brake size either, it's the fluid, the lines, the cylinder calibration, pads, and rotors all working as a system. Bottom line, the GT500's brake system as a whole was underwhelming because of shoddy fluid, squishy lines, and pads that were clearly meant for comfort, not all out performance. If it was going that much faster, Ford should have tested the snot out of it to prepare. And if we're going to split hairs, what about the ZL1's extra 250lbs of weight it was carrying around? The ZL1 had superior brakes. Just like everything else, it's a SYSTEM and cannot be defined by just rotor size and piston count.

Some of you guys are hilarious lmao. You do realize that GM is the reason we have magneride on our gt350s. It even uses the same control module. And for the guy who said a procharged gt350 will beat the ZL1, whoopty f@#$*n do, an ecoboost with a turbo upgrade can beat a gt350, your point is irrelevant.some of the stuff I've read in this thread is borderline retarded lol. I don't really understand the point of this thread anyway. For one just because the ZL1 is faster than the 350 means nothing. And just because the gt500 MAY BE faster than the ZL1 means nothing. Ford is making some awesome performance cars (they also make a handful of shitty cars). GM is making awesome performance cars(they also make some shitty cars) just because you own a ford doesn't mean gm sucks. Be happy with your car and appreciate the level of engineering that goes into these cars to make a better experience for US. Most of you guys are weekend drivers who will NEVER drive on a road course anyway, so what's it matter how fast the damn car is if all you do is wash and wax and red light race.
J_Maher_AMG I'm with you man, i love reading your comments cause they actually make sense! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY 350 and I wouldn't trade it for anything (well maybe a gt3 rs lol) but I respect what these automakers are bringing to the table

I think Chevy is doing great things with the Camaro this time around.

Yeah like not being able to sell them. Hopefully they will stop production again like its 2002 again.
I don't want to hear anyone telling me that we need the Camaro either. When the Camaro was gone ford gave us the cobra, Shelby, bullitt, and body redesign etc. remember, the mustang is world class now so it's not just competition from the Camaro.

The 5.0 was long overdue. I for one am glad the Camaro came back because I really didn't want a 4.6.

The 5.0 was in the works before the Camaro returned.
