Here is the pump, they are all over eBay and less than $100. Its a bit heavy, especially since I'm trying to keep my Stang lean and mean. It it fails it won't end my day, I'll just lose ability to cool my diff oil, and I'll step up to those $400 versions.

The controller is $10 and has a probe that I will silicon to the top of the diff to read temperature. I'll mount the body in the trunk or inside rear bumper. I think it might have a constant read out but the lead is not long enough to reach the front dash.

For fittings these guys have everything you need , I'm using -AN8 size lines https://www.anplumbing.com

I'm going to mount the cooler with the inlet / outlet on top to minimize drain back into the diff. Plan is to connect line to diff drain hole, prime pump and cooler and then top off the diff. Hopefully that will work?

At the moment no plans to run an oil filter and I lose the magnet plug too :(

If I have time I'll wool tuft test airflow behind the diff to see how things look.

And as usual, welcome any suggestions and input.

The pump says, fuel pump on it. Can it handle the viscosity of oil? Can it handle temps up to 400Âş F?

Yeah, it's for pumping diesel and oils, I think....lol.

Doubt it will live at 400 deg F, but hopefully in lives with temps around 240.

Other than some ground clearance issues I need to think about, I think there is enough airflow down there:

I had the same thought process as you Rob. Get the cheap pump and see how it works. If it fails, you just go back to having a diff without a cooler.

The cooler seems to sit really low. Thought about mounting a small fan on it and turning it 45 or 90 degrees?

I'm going to place it a little more forward and try tuck it in a little more.

Also signed up for COTA Sep 3-4 with Chin. They have 1 hr open track at the end of the day, so that will be a good test.

Tell me more about that CotA event. Do they have an info page?

Heat extractor project done, I'm quite pleased with the results, and will be testing on track later today with 97 deg ambient temps at Thunderhill. Gutted bottom of Roush units, then made matching openings in hood and insulation piece. Should be a good match in terms of air exhaust capacity for the grille delete I'll do this weekend.

Isn't the hood a pain to cut!! Mine fought me like crazy.

Since my last test I too cut the stock heat-shield and put it back on the hood. I feared the air was getting trapped in the provisions under the hood. I may also install the first piece of the stock airbox to push more around towards the motor. I'm hoping it would circulate around and exit the other side? It's been 110-115 everyday so car is sleeping until it cools down.

Next goal is to sand the grill to expose all holes. The bottom outside holes will be vented thru the wheel wells. (Driver side will feed intake, MMR longtub) and upper outside will feed into the engine bay.

Look at the Ecoboost grill, I changed my grill out from the GT PP grill because the Eco grill is much more open, the opening is as wide as the radiator and there is still more to cut out if you wanted to.

There is one on ebay for $30:
