Gave my Pony a Rim Job in the Hotel Parking Lot

Had an afternoon to kill while out of town, and thought why not? It was tough, there are lot of nooks and crannies on them! But bought a can of cheap wax and went to town on it. Four shiny black-out 19" rims now!

I received my package from LMR: FRPP knuckle-to-toes, x-pipe, BMR LCA bushings, Steeda trans support insert, and Blowfish Racing shifter mount -- opened stuff up -- the parts are pretty, and impressive -- BMR Tech -- the LCA bushings are so beautiful! I just ordered a carbon fiber drive shaft from The Driveshaft Shop -- their webpage is kind of messed up... I also sent a couple of emails to both a place that sells Energy Suspension stuff, and to Energy Suspension themselves. I'm wondering if I can do the bushings, and the driveshaft, and expect to be happy -- it should hook better with some spring and dampening in the driveshaft -- not a suspension component, but in my estimation it may help with wheel hop irrespective...

I picked my car up from the dealership to get the seat TSB done, nails patched on the rear tires (I have the Tire and Wheel Warranty), and a few other minor things.

When I picked my car up it looked like PLC268's - dirtiest I've ever seen, I assume there must have been dust blow in as or right after it stopped raining. I had asked them to not wash it, so that was all on me when I got home with my rinseless blue wash.

Plus, when I picked it up I now have 3-4 of what looks like hail dings. I'll probably just go get those fixed and not file insurance. My deductible is only $250 and it's likely less to fix it then that. It happened while at the dealer, but no way to prove it.

On the upside, I got two new rear tires for free out of it.

Looked on ebay for those mustang decals, can't find them. Link? Also, did you clear over the top of them?

Also, did you really need two kits?

decals are everywhere on ebay : http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1312.R1.TR10.TRC1.A0.H1.Xmustang+brake+.TRS1&_nkw=mustang+brake+caliper+decals&_sacat=0

I bought the clear coat but didn't use it, heard too many people saying that is starts to crackle and turn yellow over time, also to spray it on would have meant me remasking everything again, the paint by itself is very shiny and decals are very thin and sticky (giving them wonderful adhesion), most people say they last a long time.

There is plenty of paint in one kit to do three coats on all four calipers, my problem is that I had no way to get all four wheels off the ground at the same time so did the left sides and then the right sides. To use the enclosed brake cleaner, mask and then do three coats on the lefts took me 3 hours and then you have wait two hours to put the wheels on per instructions, which then enabled me to do the other side, thus 5 hours of the paint being opened. The can of paint once mixed with the activator is good for about 5 to 6 hours, instead of using paint that might be beginning to harden I just opted to do a new can for the other side. Also have a few little brushes, paint once again will begin to harden and get sticky on them after about 3 hours use. Dry time between coats is 15 minutes per instructions.

Haha, you're braver than I am. Normally I do rinseless washes, but I looked at the amount of dirt on the car and decided to do a normal 2 bucket wash.
