There are some changes that need to be made in the tune to iron out some surging issues. It isn't as simple to make it perfect since it still has IMRC's vs the Boss/CJ where you just turn them off.
+1 We were able to tune out any surging with throttle calibration.

So is Lund the only tuner that has a calibration for this available ?

Any tuner with access to the Ford ECMs should be able to tune it. I still don't get the "have a calibration for X" mentality....You either have access to the ECM and know how to manipulate it or you don't.

I would presume tuners would want a car with the manifold swap on it before selling mail order tunes so they can dial in the effects of the manifold.

No. We at JDM can write tunes for the manifold and throttle body as well.

There aren't as many changes needed for the manifold itself as you may think. Mostly all of the power gains come from the part change. The tuning is mainly for calibrating the larger throttle body so the car drives nice and smooth.

You would hope so!

We are going to fit/test the intake on a customer car that was suppose to come in this week. Due to the 2 feet of snow it will likely be next week now.

So the gt350tb is 87mm and stock would be 80mm?

Wonder how much power would be loss running the stock. Something tells me not much

7mm doesn't sound like much, but it's a little over 18% of increased cross-sectional area. The 87mm throttle body is matched to the intake as well. But the biggie is that it's only ~$200.00. That's cheap for a drive by wire throttle body. And the 80mm stocker won't directly bolt up to the GT350 manifold. You'd need an adapter.

Nicest part is it doesn't lose any low end/mid-range like a BOSS or CJ manifold. Streetable, and the power doesn't start falling off after 64-6500 RPM. Waitin' on mine right now.

That is all...
