Will do Kelly but it's gonna be a while. Just getting my new 4 post lift squared away and then going to start the install of your LCA bearings, new rear brake upgrades and other things in between my 80-90 hour work weeks and I'm hearing talks of a substantial snow storm this weekend :(

Jmeo, have you had a chance to try out the revised Viking shocks?

I'm hoping they don't rattle anymore.

Also, how often do you anticipate needing to service these shocks? I hope it's something an average person like myself can do.

Thanks

Not yet actually. I start the install in a week or so then dependent on weather to drive it lol.

I received a rebuilt shock and a new one from Viking and installed them a couple weeks ago. I had the car out for about a 20 mi ride and it does seem that the "clunk" is gone. When the weather gets nice here in June I'll test again!

The theory is that the lower bushing mount was causing some squeaking.

As for the rattle sound, no one knows. It is something that a few people experience, but most do not.
I'm currently experiencing a squeaking noise coming from my right rear shock, is there something I need to do to quiet it down? It's not a very loud sound but I can hear it coming to and going from a stop. It drives me nuts. Checked and tightened all bolts on the right rear to see if that did anything but all were already tight.

Do you have the new current version or first release version?

I'm unsure of what version I have. I picked mine up during black Friday from team beefcake racing

You either had an aluminum adaptor at the top of the shaft which converted it to fit out cars (first generation version) or the shaft has no adaptor and just had threads for the top nut.

could it be the rubber bushings rubbing that Kelly mentioned?

Actually, I can't be sure, yours look like mine I guess.

If it's squeaking and coming from that area it may be the bushings. Try spraying white lithium on them and see if it goes away.
