I thought the Accord crossed the line first due to better reaction time, but the Mustang had the better ET. But the camera angle might also be the cause as you say.

I've owned a lot of Hondas over the years and no one has ever given me a thumbs up or told me, "Wow nice Honda". Kind of says it all. :lol:

So have we (Wife)...We've owned several Accord Coupes, Mustangs, Etc.

The Accord in the pics was our most recent...I recieved kudos almost every time I would fill-up or stop for coffee, groceries Etc....I would get the younger folks asking me, how I did this or did that to the car...The Honda Accord is a very good automobile, Quick (Not Mustang Quick) and quite frankly, way more dependable than any Ford, just not as COOL-->:cheers:

Why do you have such a new one then? I had an Accord - it was constantly breaking. My Fords of similar age were way more dependable. Also when the Fords did break they were much easier to fix. I donated that POS Accord and I will never own another.

I had two Accords from 1999 to 2015.... both got up to 200k... never found on the road dead. Traded the first since I wanted the new body style that came out. The second I traded since I wanted a convertible. Never any major issues to speak of... outside of that one "thing" (can't remember what it was), but it was covered by a recall.

Little things did happen, like my radio in my last car went out... luckily it was easy to hook up BT phone... no one used cds then anyway.

They were very reliable cars. I know several people who swear by accords... many family members have them and they all seem to not have major issues, that I heard anyway.

What are my changes of my mustang going 200k without issues? I'm not sure.. and with a tune, not even sure it is fair to compare. I never put a tune on my hondas but I did drive the heck out of them.

The chances are fantastic if you do proper maintance and don't put a bunch of stupid mods on the car like boost controllers.

Honda may be more reliable than a Mustang. Most Honda owners drive them in a reasonable manner. Mustang, not as much. :headbonk: Not me of course, I drive mine like an Accord with a CVT :lol:

I e personally seen a 1969's vw bug blow away a big block corvette.

You can make a Honda faster than a stock ford just like you can make a ford faster than a Ferrari. These aren't stock factory setups.

My civic was perfect. But I also didn't demand much of it and babied it always.

The Cobra? It's a miracle I didn't grenade the engine and snap half shafts with the amount of abuse I put on that poor car.

I own two Fords right now with well over 200,000 miles on them. One is a 1999 F250 super duty with the V10 gas engine and the other is a 2003 Explorer with a V6. Does that mean that Fords are reliable? No. But it's a couple data points. The Honda I owned had many different electrical and mechanical gremlins. It had 134,000 on the clock when I dumped it.

Reliability does tend to be a self-fulfilling data point. The people who really want to have a reliable car baby it. I drive cars somewhat hard and Fords seem to actually hold up to it.
