My BL7000EXT arrived yesterday and in order to free up the garage floor space, I'm gonna have to put her together tamarra.

I am glad to know they've improved things and buy out or not, I can't imagine anything got changed for the worse as the lawyer/engineers would never have signed off on it.

I still plan to use four jack stands but that's cuz I'm a nut job but it gives me piece of mind when I'm under her. Is that what she said? :-)

I guess I wouldn't call it a "Fail" considering how far they pushed the design limits, Earl. Thanks for this clip, too and I promise to use four jack stands every time. :-)

Digression by every single compary (or vast majority of them) soon after release to market of a product is looking for cost reduction. 2nd or 3rd year Fords already have cheaper shit in them... So I wouldn't take it for granted than nothing changed for worse ;-)

I think they meant that it failed to fail. :)

Ahhh, that'll teach me to watch to the end, Earl. <chuckling>

I had planned to assemble the QJ today but it's too dang cold out there, even in the garage.

But, when you're retired, there's always tomorrow. <grin>

You'll love the QJ. I use the 12v at the track a lot. Power it off a tiny lithium ion battery. Excellent setup. I always have it lock on the stoppers. Far more trustworthy than jack stands IMHO.

Kevin: You were dead on with your statement about the QJ, I DO "love it!" Got it assembled yesterday but ran out of time to test it, did that this morning. It's a wee bit difficult to see the placement of the rubber blocks with the vehicle being so low. It barely clears the fully-retracted ramps.

But, I got them placed, crossed my fingers, and hit the "UP" button. What a beautiful sight seeing the lovely car rise. This thing is perfect for my needs.

Love the color, jacking rails really makes a big difference in placing the rubber blocks.

David: Yep, I obviously love the color as well and I did install Steeda rails before the lift arrived. They're JUST long enough for the BL-7000EXT. My problem was simply SEEING the rails to place the blocks. <chuckling>

given what you seem to ogle all day long, it's a wonder you're not blind. :)
maybe a dash of yellow/white paint on the bars - it's not like it'll be visible.

Made my morning @shogun32, that was SERIOUSLY FUNNY! :-)

Truth: When I'm making those avatars, I'm only concerned with masking out the lady correctly and never pay attention (or very much, :-)) to her "attributes."

BUT....EXCELLENT TIP on marking the rails! So simple but no surprise that my geezer pea brain didn't think of it. <really laughing now>

MANY thanks, dude..I'll be heading out to mark them in just a few minoots. :-)

Heh, KB! Finally ordered my QuickJack today. Now I just need to hook up with TJ for a set of Steeda Jacking Rails. :like:

Can't wait. Need to be under this car on my time...

Good to see you, Ron and congrats on the lift, you'll love it.

But just so you know, you don't need jacking rails with the QJ, they're overkill. I added mine before getting the QJ and they really don't help. Now, for a 2-poster or floor jack, they'd be very useful.

The only problem I've had with my lift is, it doesn't go high enough for unencumbered movement because the dang car is so low! :-)
