Hey guys,

So yesterday i did a brake swap (rotors/pads/stainless steel lines/Vorshlag air deflectors & new RED brembo's) on the MACH via R1 concept kit and low and behold i see this big YELLOW plastic looking spacer/thingee on the drivers side spring, is this normal? What is this thing? Can it be removed??

Thanks Anthony

It’s a shipping spacer that is supposed to be removed at PDI. Some people are keeping them to sell with the car in the future, not sure if I follow that reasoning. If it was me I’d just toss them.
Thanks for the reply, and tip. I will remove it, thanks. It should pop right? Can it do damage to the spring?? from not allowing it to compress fully?

Thanks Anthony

Its not a good thing to drive with those (they make the ride terrible), but no, nothing should be damaged.

How many miles have you put on the car?

Check the rear shocks too, there may be another back there, and check your tire air pressures. Your dealership did a shit job of getting the car ready to deliver to you.

They will be way easier to take out with the car lifted off the ground. Perhaps give a call to the place doing your wheels and ask them to take it out? They should just pop right out.

It is a spacer for shipping. Should have been removed by the dealer. Pull it out. Check the other side too.

I forgot the name of the website that sold those, yet they are to help raise the front of the car to help transport the car onto a hauler or trailer, Im sure someone forgot to remove them.

Per user manual you are supposed to use them to ease/enable loading the car onto a transport. So I guess people who are doing it may want to keep them. I kept them for a sentimental value 😉.

I'm attaching some information on shipping blocks and how to remove them.

"Vehicle raised in air". I'd think if you jack up one side of the car at a time, unloading the suspension, you'll be fine.

On the bright side, your car should look and handle much better than before. 😁

This has already been posted here by someone you and then confirmed it does not apply to Mach 1 but to Dark Horse S650. There are no "spacers" in the rear on Mach 1.
Posting this in Mach 1 sub may confuse people.
