If given the choice between: X-Plan Loaded GT or a MSRP L-E.

Which would you select?

L-E doesn't do it for me. The louvered glass is definitely a nice touch, and the interior looks cool, just not my style. I want a black leather interior with Recaros, not all the 50th glitz.

X-Plan loaded GT.

I just don't think the AE's exclusivity is compelling enough. It's certainly not going to feel any different driving one, and the average person that sees it out on the road will probably not even notice it's any different than a regular GT.

Maybe for a Mustang collector that plans to only take it to car shows and drive it sparingly for the next 20 years, it'd be desirable. For the average Joe, I just don't see it being a worthwhile expenditure.

I'd rather spend that extra money on mods for a 'regular' GT... :)

I wonder, if you bought a 50th, and then say, wanted a 2020 GT350, would the 50th hold it's value for trade in really well? If taken care of would it not depreciate much? I still don't want one, but I wonder how much better it will hold its value than a regular GT.

Based on recent limited edition Mustang history it probably won't.

As much as I LOVE the Wimbledon White Limited Edition I would have to say Neither. I Want a Triple Yellow or Ingot Silver Premium, Eco-Boost Coupe with Black Leather and Everything but Navigation. I really want the Anniversary Wheels in Argent but Do Not want the Coral Grill or Faux Gas Cap though.

There's nothing special about the anniversary edition to me. Yeah, it has some nice interior details and some cues, but it's not worth the markup. I think it's a big question mark as to whether it will have any collector car value down the road.

And I personally don't care for the pony-in-corral on this car's grille. Just doesn't flow right with this car.

And scott's point is well taken about image on the street. How many people on the street are going to see it and recognize it as something unique in the same way they would a classic muscle car?

All I know is that the anniversary car will probably be 50K with dealer markups. There are some very nice cars available for that price.

I wonder if the LE 50th had a slight hp bump in addition to all the bling, say 5-10 hp over GT if that would sway alot more people and make the car $matter$ later on down the road. They'll sell them out in 5 minutes, probably all over sticker so that's not the issue. But I'm talking 10-20 years and more from now........Most of the 'LE' over the recent generations are crap that no one cares about from a historical perspective and the market reflects that. I think this one will be worth more but not a lot.

The 50th is geared to baby boomers like my father who is 63. He's more than happy to pay MSRP but no more for it. Originally he was going to just get a GT but liked the look.

Hmmm, I like both the Kona Blue 50th LE and a nicely loaded up GT. I could see myself doing either purchase with no regret

Buy the 50th L E in America. sell it to someone outside of America where prices are crazy.
