Wrong tow hook !!!

Car came with tow hook and it has what looks like large course threads and receiver has what appears to be fine threads !!

Are you sure? The tow hook is reverse thread, try screwing it in backwards, see if that works.

Mach 1 bumper beam is threaded with a left hand coarse thread for the factory tow hook. What receiver and tow hook application are you trying to describe?

pics would help us get a better idea of what your talking about, i received a tow hook in the owners kit and i wonder if that’s the one your referring to.
