Congratulations and I can honestly say my M1 has been one of the best cars I have ever owned, an absolute blast. Hopefully youāll keep it around for a while.
Tried finding OPs original price on a search with no luck. Even went to my āorder againā tab and itās a good price at $27.48 for 5 quart bottle but not OP cheap. Cheaper than when I bought some last December, will pick some up even for that price.
Guessing he had the eruption green car in his avatar wrapped, that explains the white striping, i will say that is a very good wrap job from the ābeforeā pic, no trace of the original color when zooming in on the details.
Just my opinion and I most definitely donāt judge others stance, but the hood decal is such an integral part of the Mach 1 appearance, a classical nod to the early Mustangs. I would hunt for a cheaper OEM decal and have a reputable shop put it on. Sorry that happened to you, never fun.
Look aheadā these noise zealots get the track closed then the land sells to a high density home developer to build their crappy homes, which explodes the population in the area and traffic, crime, and yes NOISE, become a constant As their taxes go up to pay for the newcomers. And then they bitch...
So what youāre saying is we will need to refer to you as āCoastal-500ā someday. Kidding aside, hope you get back to enjoying a Mustangāthatās what they were made for. Good luck on the sale.
I can say that I have not seen this, even after a spirited drive. The car is ceramic coated but I doubt that makes a difference on exhaust collection. How do the exhaust tips look? Mine stay pretty clean, do you think it might be a fuel issue?
I got this for Christmas today-one of many Mustang books in the library but I am very happy with it after a good first look. Well made, good history, and well presented. I gave my folks a hint this was coming out last summer and it was cool to unwrap it this AM. Highly recommended.
Had its first taste of rain on a drive in southern AZ, was okay to control but I felt it correct now and then on the Interstate, then getting home and remembering I have a ārainā mode, oh well. Handled fine and gives me a good excuse to detail it again.
There is no time, place, or reason for racing a vehicle on public streets. I am a firm believer of besides facing legal consequences, the persons involved should have their vehicle seized, their license revoked for 5 years, and forced to speak to teenagers about the consequence of their action...
May he rest in peace and I hope his family finds solace in this difficult time. Kudos to him for his great work in the Mustang community, he saw the importance of memorializing the collective history of this wonderful marque. Godspeed Steve.
Ive done it myself when putting the trickle charger on, ordered some more but donāt sweat it. Yeah I'm just waiting for that burnt plastic smell sometime to show up.
AZ is horrible as well when it comes to dirty roads, laden with rocks, glass, and debris. I am continually amazed at the morons in lifted trucks with no flaps spending half their time on the shoulder because they have a text that just cant wait given how important they are. And the uncovered...
One of the best named colors Ford ever did, it fits perfectly with the Mach 1 Yeager connection and I was thrilled when I saw nearly identical matches on late 50ās early 60ās fighters at the Pima Air Museum in Tucson. Yes we all know itās also sprayed as Cactus Grey (my folks have a CG Bronco...
I think its worth taking to a reputable restoration shop if youāre going the repair route, they will likely have a connection to a good interior shop that should do a nice repair. Iād think pics of the damage should suffice for them to start with. Thatās what I would do. Iām OCD about my...
Iām truly sorry about the health battles you are facing, and hope you come out the other side much better. It looks like you both enjoyed and took great care of your Mach 1 and those memories are to be cherished. I second the BaT suggestion and might also look at a local auction (Mecum, RM...
