I wouldn't pay for counseling. You'll achieve full obsession by yourself. Just may take a little longer.

We hit a deer at 70 mph in her 13 and walked away unscathed so it was obvious that we should get another pony.
I was already buying accessories before she picked out our 18 GT Conv. We run Michelin pilot sport A/S and she drives it in almost any snow. As much as I love this car, it's the one she picked out.

Wife’s 19 GT premium next to my GT350. Her daily was a 2011 Fusion. Said she wanted a two door car and liked the mustang and loved Ruby Red. One little test drive in the 5.0 and that was that.
She named hers Ginger (red head)
I told her I’ll call mine Mary Ann since Mary Ann was hotter than Ginger. She didn’t like that.
I just call it “the tree fiddy”

My girlfriend has a love hate relationship with the car.
She hates how low it is and how she cannot see the road ahead (she is not that tall).
Plus getting in and out of the seat is a bit of a struggle for most people.

But she loves the car for me.
I thought about getting a truck or an SUV briefly but she wouldn't have me drive any other car.

I guess she understand how much the car means to me.

She should be thankful that you don't have a SKY. Talk about 'low'

My wife never cared to learn manuals. Way back when, I had a 69 340 Dart up on jackstands finishing up a headers job. Three girl friends showed up at the house. We all knew each other and all were just friends but the one that crawled under the car to help, we been married 33 years. Just last winter me and wife put an engine in a 2002 Mustang. She drove my forklift.

Michelin Pilot sports are a great tire. We have those on my wife's focus. However, I don't think they'll beat a dedicated winter tire if you can swing that. Biggest improvement to winter weather confidence in my book.

^ What he said. Real snow tires are much better in real snow than any all-season tire. I'm halfway through my 3rd Canadian winter on Blizzak snow tires, and they make a big difference.

My wife thinks it's a very pretty car. I've tried to teach her stick but she just can't get it, which is a good thing I think. Every time I spend more money on mods I get lots of shit for it. She doesn't understand that at all.
Now she loves the fact that it's getting close to being paid off.
She says that we will get an auto Mustang one day so she can drive it, and I say "sure we will"...lol

Back in 1985 I took my girlfriend to a local parking lot to learn stick in my brand new 5.0 LX Notch, keep in mind this was 215hp, not 460 and yet when I told her to slip the clutch she panicked and popped it and proceeded to smoke the tires straight for a goo 50 feet, she then panicked stopped and stalled the car.

A cop watched the whole thing, drove over laughing his head off and said "you letting her go again? please let her go again!' we swapped and show the officer the car and had a cool story to tell folks for years.

wife loves the car. she named her 'The Stang'. its a manual, she and my daughter love driving her. my daughter is our DD.

Jeez, this is depressing listening to people talking about having to get their wives' permission, etc. I asked mine her opinion because it's going to be our weekend go-for-a-ride car, but only because I wanted her to enjoy herself when we're out together. If I wanted it and didn't care about her coming along, I'd have just bought it (actually, I may well have bought a Miata). Hell, it's my car, so she'd expect me to.

Same with hers - she's got a standing "When you want a new one, tell me what you want and we'll get it" condition on her car. Do I like her current Outback (and, likely, the next Outback she wants)? Hell no. Never could get comfortable in the seats in the damn thing. Strikes me as overpriced and underperforming. Would I like her to test drive more things? Sure, but she doesn't want to. But, it's her car, so she can drive what she wants.

That's the reason my wife and I decide on our cars together. 90 percent of the time, we take my car whenever we go someplace together. She tried a Mustang, Camaro, and Charger when we looked at her car, and she has no desire to get one. She loves her 340xi though (she almost got an M3, but decided against it).

We toyed with trading in my 550i for a Chevy SS because of the reliability concerns, but the seats hit her back wrong. Since we do long road trips in my car, having her uncomfortable for a 10-14 hour stint in the car is not the smartest idea.

We keep our cars a long time, at least 9-10 years, so getting what we really like is important, but more importantly, we need to get something we both can be comfortable in for when we go someplace together.

My wife hates mine....she gets sick to her stomach in it often, and I drive it like a minivan...she hates that it is low, she keeps her face buried in her iPhone until she is sick and then looks up and tells me she hates the car....she also gets sick in the mountains in any car, even if she is driving....so I drive it alone 99% of the time.....

She would not get sick as much if she looked at the horizon more. Burying her face in her phone is probably the reason she's getting sick...
