Which lane do you spend more time in...left or right?

In a car like this I'm thinking, even if we aren't heavy on the throttle it's going to attract attention. I'd rather know where to stay well under the limit.
My last car was a sequential twin turbo Subaru Legacy at 375 hp and before that was an Evo 8 at 440 hp...my lane choice was whichever didn't have cars in it lol. And those two cars plus this one have gotten no more attention from cops than any other car I've owned.

Attention is drawn by being an idiot at the wrong times lol. I've managed to be an idiot at the right times as I've not had a speeding ticket since 2005. Lucky? Maybe...but I also am very aware of my environment when I decide to break the law. And I only speed when it's beneficial to me. Going 10 miles down the road to the mall is not the time to speed, doesn't get me there any faster.

Driving at the speed limit does not get you tickets, nor does owning a Mustang. But if a radar detector makes you feel better, then go for it. Personally I spent that money on mods.

you can set MyKey to limit your top speed to 80 mph, with a warning at some point below that, e.g. 70 mph. Then if you do get a speeding ticket it will be a "minor" one. Assuming its not a school zone.

I remember at least one traffic app I had in the past had a reasonably good database of local speed limits and would beep at me if thought I was going too fast. Can't remember which one though. Waze do this?

you planning to drive the car in the cold? If so, you will want to swap the PP tires back to A/S or even winters, and on a PP wheel size that will set you back at least another grand. And doing that you lose the relative performance advantage over a base GT. Lateral accel / stopping power, etc. But the Brembos do look cool.

Base GT generally means cheaper tires, more tire choice, and a spare tire in the truck.

Nope!! This is a nice day, dry pavement only car. Now if it's freezing out but the sun is shining and it's dry on the road...yeah probably then.

This will be our third car plus I have my bike. So on crappy weather days and throughout most of the winter we'll be using our daily drivers. In the spring/summer/fall when it's nicer out this will be what I drive. So having the performance pack is a must for me.

...I will say I am SERIOUSLY dreading the bill when I need new tires, pads, or rotors!! I know it'll probably be at least $2k for tires and probably similar for pads/rotors all around when needed. :eyebulge:

This sounds like it will be a lower mileage car, in which case the bills for the improved tires and brakes won't be too bad

I didn't really need the PP gear, other than the Brembos just to look cool. Maybe I should put red Brembo stickers on my 4-pistons ?

I've seen people just paint the calipers to make their own fake Brembo's.

And yes, lower mileage. It'll have under 10k to start with and then under 8k each year after that.
