My wife was furious when I brought it home. I think it was the fact that I made the decision to buy it without her input. She has conned her way into a new vehicle purchase that I planned for me and stuck me with her car twice now. That's why i bought the mustang with out her input or knowledge, because if I would have included her, I wouldn't have it.
She still gripes about the car, two years later, and can't understand why I make payments on a car that sits in the garage in storage about 8 months a year. Three weeks ago she got mad at me again when I had to replace my daily and got a 18 explorer sport that had a sticker that was 5K more than the mustang was. Oh and ever since Feb last year I hear her bitch every time I drive it to work. Now that it has long tube headers, it wakes her up at 5:00 AM in the morning when I leave to go to work.

Now this sounds like fun...…

So, I ordered my Bullitt without telling the wife, because I knew shew would say "No", then I would have to have gone against her wishes, so ordered it and then told her....It didn't go well.. Still married, but she was pissed...….

I'm still not off the hook, but she is moving to "acceptance" and I think quietly she likes it, but won't admit it. The other week, she announced she was going to drive it...Now, she can drive a manual, but I haven't swapped out the helper spring, so it will be interesting to see how she handles it. I guess if she gets to drive it, it will help her accept the new "Women" in my life. By the way, the Bullitt is called "Glorious Gloria" I chose Gloria, because I once new a woman whose name was Gloria, and she was confidant, strong, big, and sexy.....and the Bullitt is all of those things......

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. My wife wasn't happy about the purchase, but she now admits it was a good idea. We needed another vehicle because my '05 is nasty radical with drag radials. The pickup is a Ram 2500 diesel so we needed something we can just jump in and go no matter the weather without being a truck with all that comes with that. She likes her big, loud exhaust on the truck.

Have had four 'stangs since we've been together, all sticks. I really wanted the A10 when I ordered the '18 but she wouldn't have any part of it. Says it's not a mustang if it's automatic. But we're old farts.....

My wife was 3 months pregnant when I told her I wanted a new mustang. Said it half jokingly expecting her to flip out over the added expense since we are expecting a little one. To my surprise she said "if your bringing this up to me your already set on getting one so when do you want to go look at it?" Next day I told her after doing more research it didn't make sense getting one if it didn't have the performance pack... she agreed I would be happy with out the extras. Next day we brought home my 19 gt manual pp1. She's a keeper!

When girlfriend (of 6 years) was very supportive of the decision to buy a mustang. Even tho she has no license and can't drive she takes great pride in our pony. She often refers to it as her mustang and loves going for long drives.

We both live hectic lives in a dense city and we quite literally associate mustang with freedom. I also think she loves the attention it gets. I personally don't lol

My wife lets me do what I want because I spoil her.

She hates the way I drive but she still gets in the car with me.

There is, however, a hole in the passenger side carpet where she keeps slamming on the brakes.

She nicknamed mine. It’s called “The Argument “ That’s what we did when I came home with it.

Anyone remember that old movie, 'The God's Must be Crazy'? My Mustang is the Antichrist. Bad mileage, insurance cost, noisy and she is sure I'm going to wrack up tickets, if not kill myself. She grudgingly said ok to the purchase, but I think she believed I wouldn't actually pull the trigger. I daily drive it, for the first time in decades I look forward to the daily commute. She won't even ride as a passenger, we take her RAV4 when we go places together. Oh well, can't agree on everything...

My wife and I made the decision to get my Mustang together. I was undecided on the color and she helped me pick Competition Orange and I optioned the car the way that I wanted. I bought the car to cruse in not race hence the convertible and we like to go on long drives together. I let her drive every time we go out and she says it definitely more fun driving than riding.

I only let my wife drive my Mustang once the day I brought it home in November. I don't trust her to drive and park it because: a) she doesn't park in ding free territory, and b) pulls up way too far in parking spots so I know she would crush the front splitter on a parking curb. Also, she hit a curb once while driving my Mazdaspeed3 on a turn, and dinged up the right rear wheel pretty bad. Made me upset. Therefore, no Mustang GT for her.

Because my wife knows I'm much more into cars than she is, she never wants to drive any car I buy during the first year or so, out of fear she'll get in an accident with it. Because the S550 is so damn sexy, she is even more reluctant to drive the Mustang.

In case she has to drive it sometime, she did ask that I get an automatic. She knows how to drive a stick but has a health problem that makes it difficult to finesse a clutch pedal. That's the only reason I didn't get a stick.
