What do you guys think of the Goodyear Ultragrip 8? And I was looking at the 255/50/19s also. Any thoughts?
Never heard of it and that's a rather large (diameter) tire for this car. Look at the tiresize calculator, that tire is gonne throw off your speedo big time.

Is that the only negative? Couldn't I use the tuner to change the speedo?

You can run the 255/40/19 all around without issue.
I am planning to do this, replace the Pirelli's with a set of Conti DWS 06, and I am looking to put 255/40 on the rear as well (on a 19x9.5 wheel). Will it be fine?

Would a 245/45 19 work on a 19X10 rim?

Too much of a stretch IMO.

I have 245s on stock 9" wheels and they are at about the limit of how much stretch I'd want. Wouldn't put those on a wheel 1" wider although it certainly is possible.

Has anyone tried the Michelin Alpin Pa4's? That's what Ive decided to go with, can report back how I feel about them once I get some miles on them.

For the last 2 winters I have used the Nokian Hakkapeliitta. They are VERp good. In fact one day I was in a parking lot on a very steep slope and people 5-10 people in CUVs and front wheel drive cars were trying to get up and all got maybe 1/2 way up the hill then slid back down again. I threw the mustang in wet/snow mode and backed out of my spot half way up the hill and from a dead stop made it up the hill without slipping. Lots of interesting looks from everyone stuck there till the plow showed up :)

on a 19x10 275 is the best tire so you dont stretch the tire.

Hey Paul,

So a 255/50 R19, would the only negative be to have to watch the speedo, or would it rub? Thanks!

If the only problem was the speedo, I think I might go for those. If not I'll probably just end up with the 255/35.

Those are big and would probably rub (it's a 29" diameter tire, vs 27.7" of the rear PP tires). 255/40R19 is what you want, though you could get away with 255/45R19.
